ABOUT ME Hi, I am Mario!

I am a design student from Valencia, currently studying Industrial Design Engineering & Product Development at the Politechnic University of Valencia. I believe a good design must be attractive and elegant. It must stand out, be remembered and have a reflection process behind. I always work with this purpose, wanting to go behind the requierement and, the most important, trying to learn and grow as a profesional and taking a smile whenever it is possible.

BAMBUK

BAMBUK is an organicist lamp with architectonical influences.

The product is so detailed that its process was more a production of an artistic work rather than an industrial product.

The crystal sections of the stem are made of glass trencadĂ­s (a typical mediterranean spanish artistic tradition) hand put one by one. The proportions beetwen the diferent heights follow the auren proportions.

The product can also reproduces music and its commandable by bluetooth, stores plants and drinks, and changes its colour sequentially.

THE PRODUCTION OF AN ARTISTIC WORK

Ă GUEDA

Ă GUEDA is a modern bathroom furniture designed for the company Taberner SL. This product was though trying to design the most marketable but singular and artistic possible.

The furniture plays with the shapes, the space and the colours.

Nothing is where it is supposed to be but it is still very harmonious.

One of my hobbies is 3D Printing. I am convinced that this technique is the future of the industry and I want to be prepared for when it arrives.

CAROLINA emerges as a project for the purpose of redesigning a music player. I always like to go beyond the requierements and so I decided not only to redesign it, but also to build it and make it work. Together with and electronic friend, and inspired by the mathematical figure known as Menger’s spronge, we developed CAROLINA. The CAROLINA project got me graduated with HONORS

FART’S SECRET

Humor is a fundamental quality in design.

FART’S SECRET is a flatulence muffler and olor remover. It was born as a project with the aim of developing a simple, cheap and self-publishing product capable of becoming viral on the internet.

Its elegant design and ingenious mechanism, inspired by a pistol’s silencer, which does not need to be introduced into the rectum was a success. Because its risky and original design far surpassed expectations and requirements.

HUMOR IS A FUNDAMENTAL QUALITY IN DESIGN

LOTAD CHAIR

LOTAD arises from a project consisting of the design of a children’s chair made in curved wood.

LOTAD is inspired, as its name suggests, in Pokémon #270 Lotad.

Its design is colorful, witty, caring and is a recognizable reference in children’s culture today away from the typical children’s topics such as Teddy Bears.

LOTAD was a succes and thanks to it I obtained the HONOR ROLL.

REFERENCES TO POPULAR CULTURE AWAY FROM THE TYPICAL TOPICS

GALILEU

GALILEU was a project presented for the LAMP CONTEST 2016 in Vancouver, Canada.

Its theme was to design a luminous with “COSMOS” as motif.

My team and I decided to move away from the classic designs of nebulae and stars which we assumed the rest of participants would present. We reflected and created GALILEU. It is inspired by a telescope, the first object which allowed Humanity to interact with the universe.

MOVE AWAY FROM THE CLASSICS

MAHALO WAI

MAHALO WAI is a stylish design tap. Its unconventional but attractive shape is thank to its colour finish, a suggestive way to get out the water where you can see it flow through the glass, its metallic details bumping the waves of the sea are some of the main characteristics of this product.

UNCONVENTIONAL BUT ATTRACTIVE

PINCHY I am a member of the interdisciplinar student’s comunity MAKERS UPV. With them I participated in the Olympic Robotic Challenge 2016 as a industrial designer of the robot. I designed all the mechanical pieces of the robot by SolidWorks.

We got the third position and thanks to this experience I learned to work with people from other disciplines, in this case industrial and electronic engineers, learning a lot from them.

LEARN TO WORK WITH PEOPLE FROM OTHER DISCIPLINES

The creation of an identity is very important for any kind of event, it must be striking, beauty and have a coherence.

The creation of the festival urbĂ de Campanar (posters, logo, digital image, naming...) was a very funny process with very good results.

The event was directed to young public which allowed me to do a more dared, amusing and unconcerned work.

En Verona, dos jóvenes enamorados, de dos familias enemigas, son víctimas de una situación de odio y violencia que ni desean ni pueden remediar.
