CHILE CLOS OUVERT Maule The vineyards they bought are in a valley located a few meters from the Rio Loncomilla and Rio Maule. The total area of the estate is 150 ha of which only about one third is currently in production. Matthieu and Louis-Antoine enjoy the freedom of producing wine in the new world: they experiment lots of different grape varieties, new farming methods to reduce their impacts on the environment, new wine process methods to make top quality wines… They also work a lot in France, taking part in fairs and shows to promote their wines. The wines we can taste today reach amazing quality, but this is only a sample of the quality they can reach in the future. Definitely a Domaine to keep an eye on….

The story of Clos Ouvert started in 2006 when two young French men, Matthieu Monden de Genevraye and Louis-Antoine Luyt, bought some vineyards in Chile. Their very first project was to create real terroir wines in a country that is more famous for its standard globalized wines. With a modern vision of wine production, they created a company designed to produce, import, export and distribute wines and spirits.
