Even though we attended two different high schools, I knew exactly who he was, yet he had no idea I existed. I remember the first time I saw him. It was at a baseball game that was being held at my school. My immediate thought was “Oh he’s cute!”

Still, he paid me no mind. Several months went by and that crush continued to linger as I “randomly” ran into him on different occasions. It wasn’t until summer of 2007; we were finally introduced by a mutual friend.

We started off as friends, with me braiding his hair on a regular basis.

But once Freddie asked me to attend to his senior prom, we were inseparable. Who would have thought that a simple crush at 16 years old would turn into my lifetime partner? I definitely didn’t! I was only hoping for a genuine friendship (LOL), but I am so glad it turned out to be so much more than that.

. . m o o r G e h t ot ld by From what I can remember, a mutual friend of ours told me there was this girl named Rachel that had a crush on me since we were younger. I had no clue that she would one day be the love of my life. We officially met one day at this annual festival in Roosevelt aka Greek fest lol. I was standing in front of a store when she approached me. Yes you heard right, she approached me. We spoke for a few and exchanged numbers.  We started off talking occasionally. From there I would constantly ask her to braid my hair just so we could hang out. That’s where I fell in love. The rest was history!
