Wireless VHF Handset If your boat has a SimNet enabled VHF radio, the WR20 will act as a full wireless handset for it. The handheld offers full VHF functionality when linked into your fixed radio, even as far as calling crew on the intercom. Essentially, if the WR20 is connected to your VHF you can save space and money as you simply don’t have to invest in a separate handheld radio or intercom.

Man Over Board The WR20 improves safety as it gives you access to all of your instruments wherever you are onboard. Two Man Over Board buttons are also included. Synchronized radar and chart Simrad NavStation includes radar functionality as standard and just needs to be connected to one of Simrad’s new generation scanners to provide a host of features for a safer and more relaxed voyage in all weather conditions, day or night. MultiVision The sophisticated MultiVision technology enables a simultaneous view of both a close range radar image and a long range overview in two windows on the same screen - providing the full picture, even in poor visibility.

Faster radar update and improved target definition As the boat speed increases the rate of update increases, ensuring safety at all times. The new transmitter design improves the ability to separate objects and provide a much clearer display that is easier to see and use. Moving vessels are easily separated from fixed objects when using the trail function.

Intelligent navigation and fishfinding – Enhanced chart system for total navigation The award winning C-MAP NT electronic charts now have revolutionary enhancements with the MAX system. Precise and detailed vector charts include window pop-ups with information on ports, navigation marks, lights, buoys, depth contours and more. Details can be turned on or off to suit the navigator’s needs at any time. The MAX C-cards are inserted into a splashproof drawer on the front of the NavStation.

Greater accuracy with DGPS SDGPS – Satellite Differential GPS uses signals from WAAS (US) or EGNOS (EU) to provide long range improvement of position accuracy. RA30 The RA30 radar with its 7” screen, for smaller boats, enables you to see small targets, and targets that are close together, making navigation in poor conditions safer and easier.

Extreme 3D presentation The 3D generator allows you to display a wide range of customized views, both off and on shore.

Get important information where you want it If you really want to pay close attention to navigational information while following a route, the detailed ‘Nav Info’ window enables you to view the vessel status, which is route active, as well as information about the upcoming waypoint and the rest of the voyage.

All other applications, which are still running in the background, can be viewed by a click of a button.

Radar overlay on a chart ensures better safety Using the radar overlay you can double check chart information in real time and confirm navigation marks and buoys in the chart with radar echos. You can distinguish whether the echo is a mark or another vessel, and track the other vessel on the chart to secure your own safe passage.

Split screen(s) show the situation from different angles like North up, Course up, Leg up and/or Heading up for correct interpretation. The ‘Auto Range’ feature synchronizes the range between the radar and chartplotter

GB60 Standard with outputs for three monitors Connect three monitors in combination between VGA (standard) DVI (digital) and SVHS (television) video outputs.

RA60 – GB60’s own radar series This is a radar series specially developed for use in the GB60 Glass Bridge System. Up to two RA60 series radars may be connected to each GB60 black box simultaneously. The series consists of two black box models: RB50 (4kW Radar Box) and RB60 (4kW to 25kW Radar Box) and connects directly to the GB60 through an Ethernet cable.

Connecting GB60 to stand alone radars On larger yachts the wish or need for a type approved (IMO) radar may arise. To accommodate the Simrad RA90P 19” a special Radar Signal Interface (RSI) input has been developed.

Wide Range of Models The RS81 provides the simplest option for users needing a VHF radio only. Adding an AHS82 handset allows upgrade to DSC functionality. Alternatively, the RS82 offers users the ability to have two handsets, both offering DSC and VHF operation from the start.

Making sure your communication needs are met Building on extensive experience in multi station VHF radios, the Simrad RS Series is the most advanced VHF solution available for yachts, meaning you can rely on it to work when you most need it. With four options to choose from, there is an RS system available for boats of all size and type. You won’t find a VHF solution as flexible as the RS Series. You want to add multiple stations? No problem just plug and play. You want reliability and high build quality but don’t need DSC? No problem, just choose the RS81. The options are numerous so you can get the exact solution you want.

The RS Series is based on ‘Black box transceiver’ technology. The transceiver can be placed anywhere on board and connected to the control unit or handset via simple to install extension cables. Forming the backbone of the flexibility inherent in the RS Series, the black box transceiver also ensures that you can save space and place the radio exactly where you need it.

For larger installations with more than two stations, or where there is an need for integrated foghorn and hailer, choose the RS87. The RS81 and RS82 are particularly suited to vessels that require a dual station communication system and can be configured in any combination, two RS81 handsets, two RS82 handsets and even one RS81 and one RS82 handset.

With two handsets fitted the radio can be used as an intercom system.

The flexible full class D DSC RS86 and RS87 radios cover a wide spectrum of VHF requirements from small yachts and powerboats up to super yachts.

The RS81 offers a practical voice only solution ideal for vessels with smaller dashboards and less space at the helm The ergonomically designed fully waterproof handset features a simple to use keypad that allows easy access to all menu functions. The handset incorporates an integrated loudspeaker as well as the normal earpiece speaker eliminating the need for a separate loudspeaker. It is easily upgradeable to full DSC capabilities by the addition of an RS82 handset.

With full class D DSC capability the RS82 is designed for users who need the extra functionality from the outset. The waterproof handset features a numeric keypad that makes sending DSC calls as simple as making a phone call and an MMSI directory makes repeat calls easy.

With either a fixed control panel, as the RS86, or with a hand controller as the RS87, both systems share the same transceiver box and have the capability of connecting an additional handset as well as an iDSC output, which allows RS86/ RS87 radio to be linked to any Simrad NavStation or chartplotter series. Once connected, DSC information can be displayed directly on the chartplotter screen.

For ease of use the RS86 control panel offers large control knobs for channel change, volume and squelch together with a built in large diameter loudspeaker. An easy to read backlit keyboard provides quick access to the range of functions.

The RS86 has an optional telephone handset or speaker microphone.

The RS87 uses a keypad operated telephone handset to provide simple menu driven control of all functions. A large backlit LCD display shows the operation selected, as well as status and channel selection. An external loudspeaker is supplied with the RS87, individually controlled by the handset.

Make sure you are visible to your rescuers’ radar The SA50 SART (Search and Rescue Transponder) enables any rescue vessel or aircraft fitted with radar to locate and steer to your position, dramatically increasing your chance of rescue should the unthinkable happen.
