Beautiful, Durable Cherry Laminate Interiors Our new Cherry Laminate has a beautiful colour and sheen, which accentuates the feeling of space. Cherry’s warm grain is rich in appearance and is extremely easy to care for. Solid hardwood door surrounds, handrails and trims finish the quality look of today’s Hunters.

Quality Interior Fittings and Hardware Marine grade stainless and chromed fittings are used throughout for a quality feel, reliable functionality, and a long service life. Lockers include sturdy locking push button catches and adjustable hinges.

Genuine Corian® Worktops Corian® solid-surface countertops are standard equipment on the galleys and vanity tops in our 31 and larger models. This extremely durable and beautiful surface is only normally found on large custom yachts, but is included in our models as a quality enhancement that you will appreciate.

Deck Hardware and Rigging Harken® or Lewmar® winches, blocks and tracks, Spinlock® sheet stoppers, 4 Selden® or Z-Spar® masts, furling systems and rigging, and Whitlock® steering systems are some of our preferred suppliers to ensure that your new Hunter displays quality throughout. These components are the sailor’s interface with the boat, and we place a premium on choosing the best.

Heavy Duty Rubrails We utilise a high-density vinyl rubrail that protrudes from the hull and wraps 360 degrees to give protection to the entire hull to deck joint. Most models include a stainless steel insert to enhance the overall appearance.

Stainless Steel Cockpit Arches The mainsheet is located atop the arch (31 and larger) to keep the loading at the aft end of the boom, rather than suffer the boom bending loads and deck loading created with more typical deck mounted mainsheet locations. The arch also provides safety as a secure cockpit handhold, offers protection from the boom and provides an excellent structural support for cockpit canvas and a mounting location for cockpit speakers and lighting.

Hunter Kevlar® Te c hnology (HKT) Utilised in bullet-proof vests, Kevlar® has extremely high impact resistance. Hunter provide this type of protection in all of our 30’ plus models by layering Kevlar® in the forward hull sections to enhance the strength in this important area. The forward sections 7 are the most exposed to damage, hence this additional level of protection.

B&R Bac kstayle ss Rigs The B&R rig, utilised on Hunter’s Child, withstood the rigours of the BOC round-the-world race. This backstayless rig design incorporates a large main, small genoa combination for easier, but more efficient, sail handling.

Tacking is easier, and when reefed, provides a more stable and predictable platform. The swept-back spreaders create a tri-pod rig that eliminates the need for a backstay, allowing for a much more aerodynamically efficient mainsail design, but without the need for adjustable backstays.

Ke e l Options 9 Both our shoal and deep keels are cast with stainless keel bolts. Our shoal keels include winglets to maximise lateral resistance and efficiency with minimum draft. Our deep keel offers maximum pointing and upwind performance. A twin keel option is available on the 27 through 38 models, offering a unique combination of shallow draft with the ability to dry out. These modern keel shapes bring a higher level of performance than traditional bilge keel models without sacrificing the benefits.

Through-Bolte d Hull to De c k Joints 10 Superb strength is achieved with a through-bolted hull to deck ® joint. The outward turned flanges are first sealed with 3M 5200 marine sealant, the deck lowered onto the hull, and the flanges bolted together around the entire length of the joint. The flanges are then covered with an extremely durable vinyl rubrail which is finished off with a stainless or plastic insert.

The outward turned flange provides an extremely strong joint, and has the added benefit of protecting the hull from abrasion.
