A proven technology Enraf Marine Systems is one of the major players in the market of systems using radar level gauges.

In 1992, Enraf Marine Systems developed his first TA840 radar with a highprofile partner, namely THALES (formerly Thomson-CSF Detexis), a world reference for radar systems.

In collaboration with Enraf Terminal Automation two other radars have been launched: the EM540 for inland vessels and small tankers and the EM940 for tankers. Enraf Marine Systems thus meets all applications for tankers (chemical tankers, bitumen tankers, product tankers) and barges.

With more than 6000 radar units in operation, Enraf Marine Systems offers the most reliable technology for each specific application, complying with the latest maritime regulations.

Coming directly from our long maritime experience, efficiency and reliability are the main features of Enraf Marine Systems radars. They include: a planar antenna associated with embedded electronics and a data processing unit

All our radars are of the standalone type using Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW). The distance (ullage) between the antenna and the surface of the liquid is measured through the propagation of the FMCW signal.
