Marina Jennings

My name is Marina Jennings. I am currently a second year student at Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, Washington. I came in studying fine arts, but have now just switched to studying design. Last year I studied at Gage Academy in capitol hill Seattle. Our studies consisted of mostly studio and life room time, honing my skills in fine art.
As much as I loved painting and drawing, as time has gone on my passion for all kinds of design has become clear to me. I want to use my strong desire to make beautiful art and designs to share that with the world. I have experiamented in many different mediums, and hope to had more digitial art and graphis design to this portfolio as well.

With these charcoal peices I wanted to convey how the world can slowly break down, fragment, and stretch us thin. It can often feel like we have the weight of the world on our shoulders but can’t share it with anyone, leaving us with internal cracks and fragments that can leave us in ruins.
