Separated by 30 Years In the Spring of 1972, Leslie Alden's admissions interview at Marin Academy was a conversation with the founding Head of School, Bill McCluskey. As they walked around the campus, still resembling the old Military Academy, he asked, "What do you imagine for a new school? What is your vision for the future?" That question would have a lasting impact on her life and career path. When Leslie arrived on the very first day of school, the entire school, including the bus driver, the maintenance crew, the students, and all the teachers, fit into a single room in Foster Hall.
