The Nazca lines are massi ve natural pi ctures found i n Peru. They are so bi g that you have to fl y i n an ai rpl ane to see the whol e thi ng!

Anci ent Peruvi ans created them out of rocks and sand al most 2,000 years ago.

These i mages were very i mportant to the Peruvi an peopl e because each desi gn i s about somethi ng i mportant from nature. They created pi ctures of spi ders to represent the rai n, hummi ngbi rds for ferti l i ty, and monkeys for water ( … we thi nk! The meani ngs behi nd some of the Nazca l i nes are unknown).
