Precedent Study
Through my Landscape Design and Planning Minor, I have encountered many of the same types of projects as architecture, but with a different focus. One of my first projects was a precedent study of the Art Biotop Water Garden in Nasu, Japan. We did light research on the site and created a section model of it. I was surprised to see the differences in landscape architecture and architecture models. We foraged for a lot of natural materials so replicate the important features of the site.

Site Analysis
Similar to architecture, landscape architecture projects started with site analysis. This was my first time visiting and getting to know a site. I found the wind as it affected certain trees interesting, so I did more research on wind patterns in Minneapolis and the types of trees I found on the site. Finally, I created a large drawing to show my findings.
