Studio 02 Project

In my second studio, our final project was to design a hostel in the North Loop neighborhood of Minneapolis based on the research we conducted in a previous project (page 11). My findings in that project led to me design a building inspired by the form of the grain silos that supported the industry flour milling industry of Minneapolis. Graduating rooftop patios work with a marketplace set up on the ground floor to facilitate positive community engagement within the North Loop neighborhood.

In this project, I broke out of my comfort zone for the first time to make a truly unique building. I also experimented with rendering via Lumion for the first time and improved my physical modelling skills.
