Club Policies

T I P S , G R AT U I T I E S & S E R V I C E C H A R G E :

Tips and Gratuities are prohibited except for caddies. A competitive rate of pay has been established for our service employees which takes into account this policy.

DRESS CODE:

Ladies may wear slacks or Bermuda-length shorts and skirts. Shirts must have collar or sleeves. Gentleman may wear slacks or Bermuda-length shorts and collared golf shirts are required. Short sleeve mocked shirts, cargo pants and cargo shorts are not acceptable. Cargo pants / shorts are those with pockets on the outside leg of the garment. Metal spikes are prohibited. Men must wear their shirts tucked in and hats forward.

• Closed toed shoes on golf course and practice facilities. Open toed shoes and crocs will not be allowed. • Gym Wear is not permitted in the main dining room and bar area. • Members and guests are requested to make all changes of attire and shoes in the locker rooms of the Clubhouse. 12

Members should inform their guests of the dress regulation to avoid embarrassing situations. • Classically styled, un-tattered jeans are only allowed inside the clubhouse. We strongly encourage that hats be removed while inside the clubhouse.

FUNCTIONS: • The Club is available to members for private functions. For availability and pricing information, please contact the Director of Clubhouse Services.

CE LL PH O N E P O LICY: • To enhance your golf experience, the Club discourages the use of cell phones, including texting. • However, you can use your cell phone in the locker room and on the golf course with permission of accompanying players.

G U E ST P O LICY: •

Guests are limited to eight visits per calendar year with a maximum of twice per month, tournament rounds excluded, and must be hosted by a member at all times. Members are to alert the Golf Staff prior to guest arrival. Members are responsible for their guests and their behavior. Guests must follow the Maridoe Golf Club policies and procedures while on the property.

From time to time, members and guests might encounter a recognizable athlete, musician, actor or celebrity. These individuals should be treated in the same manner any other member or guest is treated (i.e., not bothered by photos, etc).

SMOKING: • Smoking is prohibited in all buildings.

If consumed, you must be 20 feet away from any building. Cigarettes, E-cigarettes, and cigar smoking is permitted on the golf course; however, the club asks that those smoking dispose of remnants appropriately in golf cart or by giving to a caddie.

C L U B C L O S E D O N T U E S D AY S : • The club is closed on Tuesdays. However, to better serve our members, the practice facilities will be open from: Noon – Seven in the summer season

Noon – Five in the winter season. Bar open from: Noon – Dusk. 14

Golf Course Information

1. Golf play at Maridoe is governed by the

Rules of Golf and Etiquette as written by the United States Golf Association.

2. Players making the turn from the 9th green

have the right of way at all times over players starting at the 10th tee or “cutting in.”

3. If any group fails to keep its pace on the course

and loses more than one clear hole on the players in front, it must allow the following group to go through. The Golf Professional staff may ask slower groups to skip a hole to ensure a comfortable pace of play for all.

4. Any group stopping for refreshments must

occupy the next tee before the following players arrive at the tee or lose its position.

5. Carts must use paths where provided.

Carts must remain in the fairway or on paths where provided. Please do not drive carts in the first cut or in the native grass. Please obey the intent of ropes and signs.

6. “Fivesomes” are permitted at the discretion

of the Director of Golf. The decision of the Director of Golf is not subject to question or criticism.

7. The family of a member is entitled to the

use of all facilities at the Club. Family includes spouse and all children 30 years of age or under and not married. Members or spouse must accompany family members under the age of 15 unless approved by a golf professional.

8. Members and guests are requested to make

all changes of attire and shoes in the locker rooms of the Clubhouse. Members should inform their guests of the dress regulation to avoid embarrassing situations.

9. All guests’ names must be submitted to

Maridoe golf staff prior to guest arrival. Guests will not be granted access through the gate without prior notification.

10. Maridoe discourages the use of music on

the golf course. However, if you choose to use a personal speaker it must be approved by all members in your group and not bother any other players.

11. Members’ dogs and other pets of any kind

are not allowed at the club.

Guest Policies

ACCO M PA N I E D G U E S T S : • A member may not have four accompanied guests and play in a “fivesome” unless approved by Director of Golf. • A member may not have accompanied guests prior to 10:30 a.m. on a Saturday. •

Guests are limited to eight visits per calendar year, twice per month, tournament rounds excluded and must be hosted by a member at all times. Members are to alert the Golf Staff prior to guest arrival. Members are responsible for their guests and their behavior. Guests must follow the Maridoe Golf Club policies and procedures while on property.

A C C O M PA N I E D G U E S T F E E S : • $150 per person • The guest fee covers play for the day, irrespective of the number of holes played. • A member will be charged a full fee if his guest plays nine or more holes.

F A M I LY G U E S T F E E : • $75 per person •

“Family” includes parents, children and siblings. Grandchildren under the age of 18 will not be charged. Member must play with the family member for family guest fee to apply.

JUNIOR GUEST FEE: • $50 per person for any guest under 18 •

A junior guest fee has been established to allow member’s children and grandchildren under 18 years of age or younger to bring a friend to play Maridoe. The member or spouse is not required to play with the child of the member or their junior guest. All junior guests must be introduced to the Golf Professional before playing to ensure no interference with other Member play. For the Junior Guest Fee to apply the junior guest must be accompanied by the child or grandchild of the member.

U N ACCO M PA N I E D G U E S T S : •

Unaccompanied guests are permitted at the discretion of the Director of Golf and must be hosted by a member of the professional staff. Unaccompanied guests are required to take a forecaddie and therefore all unaccompanied guest play must be scheduled as far in advance as possible. Unaccompanied guest fees are $250 per player, host fee is $150.

Caddies will not carry two bags at Maridoe unless weather prohibits carts on the golf course. Forecaddies are required for any group with more than one guest.
