Dazzling Mr. & Ms. STI 2015 Candidates glisten the Pride of Ormoc: Queen Pineapples Pineapple Plantation, Ormoc- Last August 10, 2015 - The 16 young & lovely candidates vying for the title of this year’s Mr. & Ms. STI College of Ormoc exhibited great confidence and glamour as they posed to the lenses of Mr. Vincent Paulo Cortes, a sought-after photographer in Leyte and also a successful alumnus of STI College of Ormoc. The photoshoot was held at the pineapple plantation of Potenciano & Anecita Larrazabal Family. With this year pageant’s theme ““The Best in Ormoc: STI as a partner of city’s local tourism”, the location is a perfect site as it features the pride of Ormoc “Queen Pineapples”.

The site of the pictorial was chosen by Mr. Paulo Cortes. Being a professional photographer who has an eye for breathtaking views, he said “Ormoc queen pineapples are best known for its sweetness, juiciness and freshness. ge

It certainly is one of Ormoc’s prides. I decided to showcase this along with the beautiful and handsome candidates of Mr. & Ms. STI 2015 since another pride of Ormoc is the Ormocanons… our hospitality, generosity, resiliency and of course beauty-inside and out. I was given the chance to shoot at one of the biggest and most picturesque pineapple plantations in Ormoc which is owned by Potenciano & Anecita Larrazabal Family managed by our very own Vice Mayor Honorable Carmelo Leo “Toto” L. Locsin Jr. I was fortunate that he gave us the privilege to shoot in his plantation at a very short notice and he was very generous to accommodate our every need and allowed us to taste-freshly harvested pineapples. This made the shoot very easy and memorable. The beauty of nature definitely brings out the beauty of humanity.

I believe I made the right decision in selecting this location. The stunning background added to the appeal and charm of the candidates.”

The shoot was a huge success. All aspects of the pictorial from the makeup artist to the gown supplier were meticulously planned and accomplished, complemented with the professionalism from the most sought-after photographer in Ormoc, Paulo Cortes. The candidates had a great time and that they didn’t feel it’s a pictorial at all. They were thankful to Mr. Cortes and his team because of the nice treatment they showed them. They also felt relaxed with the cinematic view of the photo shoot location.

STI Talent Search STI shall be celebrating its 32nd anniversary and one of the highlights is the Search for Mr. and Ms. STI 2015, a pageant joined by exceptional students endowed with youthful beauty and wit. Such pageant is a part of our yearly Talent Search competition that showcases the finest talents among our students where winners will represent our school in the regional and hopefully national competition. STI annually holds a talent search among their schools to help them hone their hidden talents. It aims to bring out the best talents of the STI students which will help them develop their personality and develop their competitive spirit while exploring the value of sportsmanship, camaraderie, and teamwork.

Mr. Vincent Paulo Cortes Pau is a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Computer Science in STI College of Ormoc -batch 2006.

He is currently working as a Professional Medical Representative at Takeda Health Care Pharmaceutical Company and also established a well-known reputable photography business. Mr. Cortes won the title Mr. STI College-Ormoc 2005, making him the best choice as one of the judges in the upcoming Mr. & Ms. STI Pageant 2015. He will also choose the most Photogenic candidate.
