Welcome to my Usborne team!
I can’t wait to help you build the business of your dreams!
Welcome to Tinks Tribe!
I am very pleased to have you have as part of my team. I have been with Usborne for over 20 years and still love my job! The first week can be quite overwhelming as you receive a lot of information but please know I am here every step of the way and you just need to reach out and I will talk you though anything. You will learn as you go along and grow in confidence so please don’t stress, enjoy the journey and get excited about the books arriving, it’s like Christmas when they get delivered! I would encourage you to use the quick start programme to work your way through the rewards and receiving those benefits while building your business. As with all new business it will take time and work to build, this will not happen overnight but it is definitely worth it! I am looking forward to see you grown on your Usborne journey. Smile, you’ll enjoy your journey!

Ten things you can do before your starter kit arrives
• Arrange a launch party for in 7-10 days time. This can be coffee and cake or wine and nibbles you decide! Invite everyone you know to share the books with and keep reminding them!
• Choose a name for your lovely new business! Make in meaningful to you and simple to remember. Maybe ask on your social media for ideas? Do a search on social media to see if it’s already taken as you don’t want people finding someone else. Have a go at creating a logo on
https://www.canva.com/
• Set up your social media channels. Set up any you think you will ever use just to hold the name then focus on getting one or two set up and running well. By holding the name you can add more if you want too at a later date.
• Familiarise yourself with tools and downloads, particularly the Essential reading for new starters section and the starter kit information sheet.
• Attend any All partner and Tinks training that is available. Self development will help you grow and our online trainings are all FREE to attend. You will also meet fellow partners to get support from.
Let’s chat! I know talking on the phone can be scary but I promise you that I am here to help you and it’s much more productive to have a call and talk over any aspects of your business that’s worrying you. Here’s the link, go on, do it now!

• Go on a book hunt! Go find any Usborne books you own and use them to boost your collection to show people. Double check prices on the website in case any have gone up but this will give you even more to share at your launch party without costing you a penny!
• Set up your personalised website once your account is active in your new business name. It’s very simple to do but there is help in tools and downloads if you get stuck! You might want to consider buying a personalised domain to make it even easier for you. Mine is www.mariasbooks.co.uk and I am with https://www.123-reg.co.uk/ but there are lots of others out there, https://www.godaddy.com/ is another one
• Tell EVERYONE about your new business! Ask them to follow you on social media and to share with any friends who love books too. Use your personal profile to celebrate your early journey with Usborne while you build up your page. There is a digital flip catalogue and leaflets available here that you can start sharing now - https://issuu.com/search?

• Set a goal, a small one to start with but set something you want to have achieved within your first 4 weeks. Write it down and pop it up somewhere you can see it to remind you why you need to spend 10 minutes a day at least on your business.
