ARK, Arkitects’s Architectural Studio offers a complete and quality service to the client, covering all professional aspects in the field of building and town planning. Our services deal with everything from the production of the initial project and pilot project documentation to consultancy and license applications, and putting works out to tender, culminating in the site management and supervision of the final works. The projects are produced using the most up-to-date computerised techniques in Computer Automated Design and realistic 3D virtual simulations of layout and distribution to help the client to understand and assess the project. At Arktects we use the latest technology for our assignments, from bills of quantities using sophisticated measuring equipment, to 3-dimensional project simulations so that the client can actually see the project before it is built. We also take care of the paperwork required to obtain the necessary licenses for the site like: Building Licenses, First Habitation Licenses, and Ten-Year Building Insurance, etc. So that our clients only have to worry about enjoing their homes...

ARK controls all the building process right from the beggining. ARK has their own construction site company ACINUT, and their team that will carry out the works strictly in keeping with the design and quality specifications. This guarantees the final results and that the project is completed to the utmost standards of quality, safety and always delivered on time.

If there is anything which best characterizes Andalucía, that is light. And Ark seems to have made it theirs. An intelligent mixture of light and shadow, warmth and freshness, find their way through the corners of these houses. Big windows that let in the maximum amount of light or small details strategically placed to offer intimacy and privacy. Both inside and outside the houses, light plays a main role in defining the proportions and giving more personality and grandeur to the project.

Landscaping covers the analysis, design, management and supervision of the natural environment together with the architecture, reaching the full integration and sustainability that architecture needs. For Ark, the landscape, the surroundings, acquire the same importance than the house itself. Everything is part of the project and that is why it must work and fit in with the surroundings. Landscaping becomes of vital importance, treating the spaces with a close eye on the proportions and the time needed, since we are dealing with living things.

Actualmente ARK Arquitectos colabora con entidades benéficas como la FUNDACIÓN INTERVIDA. El Estudio ha prestado su apoyo a FUNDACIÓN INTERVIDA, colaborando en la financiación de casi el 50% del total de un proyecto para mejorar la infraestructura de una escuela rural de Guatemala, situada en la comunidad de Cabricán, en el departamento de Quetzaltenango. Para ello, este estudio de arquitectos, ha donado a FUNDACIÓN INTERVIDA un porcentaje de los beneficios obtenidos en el último ejercicio, que servirán para renovar las instalaciones de la mencionada escuela. Esta colaboración permitirá dotar al centro de aulas más seguras y confortables para los 256 alumnos y el equipo docente de la escuela.

Con esta iniciativa, ARK Arquitectos quiere ayudar a combatir uno de los principales problemas que afectan al sistema educativo en Guatemala, la precariedad de las infraestructuras educativas. Esta situación, unida a la falta de maestros en las áreas rurales y a la escasez de material didáctico y mobiliario, se convierte en un fuerte obstáculo para brindar una educación adecuada a los escolares, sobre todo en las comunidades más pobres.

La arquitectura es el punto de partida del que quiera llevar a la humanidad hacia un porvenir mejor.

Frank Lloyd Wright ARK Architects collaborates with charitable entities as the FUNDACIÓN INTERVIDA. The study has given their support collaborating in the funding of almost the 50 % of the project to improve the infrastructure of a rural school of Guatemala, placed in Cabricán’s community, in Quetzaltenango’s department. ARK has donated a percentage of the benefits obtained in their last exercise to renew the facilities of the mentioned school. This collaboration will provide the center of more secure and comfortable classrooms for the 256 pupils and the school team.

With this initiative, ARK Architects wants to help in one of the main problems that the educational system in Guatemala has: the precariousness of the educational infrastructures. This situation, in addition to the lack of teachers in the rural areas, and to the shortage of didactic material and furniture, turns into a strong obstacle to offer the correct education to these students, especially in the poorest communities.
