2023-2024 - Participated in the Hyères International Accessories Competition – Submission of the ‘Rock Collection’ (presented in this portfolio): collection of 7 accessories pieces, developing 2 finalized prototypes presented in a professional photoshoot
The Hyères accessories competition, involves submitting a collection of 7 accessory designs, developing 1 physical prototype, and a professional collection photoshoot.
I designed the ring on Rhinoceros, and the physical prototype is declined in two exeamples, with different flint rock surfaces, carved with a stone cutter. The rest of the collection is designed on illustrator.
The prototypes were shot in a professional photoshoot. I led the artistic direction and model choice, with two key words as the shoot inspiration: everyday & power.
Does preciousness lie in the intrinsic beauty of Nature, or in the perfect shine of a man-made diamond?
The Rock collection challenges the definition of what perfection is. By reinterpreting classic forms of jewelry, and combining them with raw stone surfaces, the collection aims to question the notion of value.
Where does value lie: in the unaltered raw materials created by Nature - or in the interpretation of perfection as created by man, with for exemple, lab-grown diamonds.
In this collection, the beauty of the unaltered rock surface is magnified by the contrast created with the lab-grown diamond-paving around the stones.
The Rock collection compares two definitions of perfection: the one created by Nature, and the one that man is aiming to attain. Inviting us to start a dialogue around the intervention of man in Nature.
The photoshoot presented here showcases the two first physical ring prototypes of the collection.

These two collections for CELINE are hand-sketched first and then completed on Illustrator.
Both collections are influenced by Danish vintage design among other inspirations. A Georg Jensen bracelet was the starting point for the Women’s collection.

Collection of 5 pieces, based on two themes: antique jewelry (triple chains & mother-of-pearl roses) and the 1970’s ‘Peau d’âne’ film by Jacques Demy.
The star and round motives are designed on Rhinoceros, the collection is completed on Illustrator.
Moodboard for a high jewelry necklace, designed as an ode to the simplicity and raw sophistication of the New Nordic Cuisine aesthetic.
Three ingredients were chosen to compose the circular shape of the statement necklace: a wave, an algae branch, and a shoal of fish.
My process to create the High Jewelry piece involved: hand sketching & coloring, prototyping to get a sense of the proportions, the final drawing is a gouache painting in the chosen aquatic colour theme.
The High jewelry piece is inspired by the New Nordic Cuisine aesthetic, but also the sustainable philosophy behind it.
This inspired me to write a manifesto for responsible jewelry making, based on the New Nordic Cuisine Manifesto, find in the next pages.

1. Jewelry needs to preserve a human touch: design and production methods can evolve but the human touch gives the soul to the jewelry
2. Jewelry should be produced in a circular manner: in a way in which it can be disassembled and repurposed
3. Jewelry production should be collaborative and the work of the craftsmen should be rightfully valorized in the process
4. Aspire for local creation in the Design Studio (Design Process & Prototyping) with regional production for sizable operations (rather then distant production hubs)
5. Aim to combine function and form to reach elegance, while always taking into account comfort and wearability
6. The materials used in the production of the jewelry should be sourced with transparent provenance and respectful extraction and harvesting technics (stones, metal and other natural elements used). The extraction process should offer dignifying labor conditions for all works in the process.
7. Cooperation among all the actors involved (cautious consumers, craftsmen, miners, stone- cutters, 3d designers, artisans, metal melters, material researchers, teachers, politicians, authorities) with the aim of leading positive change in the jewelry production process.
8. Local materials and technics should be put to honor in the pieces designed with world influences welcome
9. The designs aim is to bring forward the beauty in all materials used — in order to advocate for the preciousness of our planet above all — all natural materials presented in the design are considered equally precious as created by Nature.
10. Inspirations behind the works and the building techniques should be shared in order to inspire other creators to join the movement.
Personal design proposition as part of a design competition launched by Georg Jensen in honor of the 50th anniversary of Queen Margrethe II of Denmark.
The design of the brooch is based on a childhood memory of making snow-angels on the ground. The aesthetic is at the crossing of the Art Deco aesthetic, blended with the current aesthetic of the house of Georg Jensen.
Exemples of my silver-smithing and wax work as part of the incubator of the Académie des Métiers d’Art.
The pearl ring below is part of a larger Snow Angel collection, a work compteted in collaboration with Mamoud Thiam - a skilled craftsman from Burkina Faso, that I met during my time working at the incubator.
The final pages of the portfolio present exemples of the technical knowledge I have acquired during the 2-year fundational course completed at La Haute Ecole de Joaillerie (HEJ).
Exemples of Technical Drawing, Gouache Painting, Metal- and Waxwork.
These traditional skills, allow we to liberate my creativity in my personal design projects, while keeping feasability and costs in mind.
