arianapolis is committed to preparing students for college as well as for lives of purpose and impact. To support this goal, we offer two signature programs that help students grow as learners and leaders: the Ninth Grade Experience and the Centers of Excellence.
The Ninth Grade Experience builds the foundation for academic and personal success. Through the Casimir Seminar and Humanities courses, students strengthen critical thinking, communication, and time management skills while learning to connect ideas across disciplines.
Center for Social Justice
Engage with issues of equity, advocacy, and community impact while learning to lead with empathy and integrity.
Center for Innovation
Explore technology, design, and creative problem-solving in a forward-thinking environment that encourages bold ideas.
Beginning in the sophomore year, students may choose to enroll in one of four Centers of Excellence—Mark R. Russell ‘67 Center for Business & Entrepreneurship, Center for Innovation, Center for Social Justice, or Center for Health Science. These centers offer immersive learning experiences, pairing academic exploration with real-world application.
From a curated curriculum and three-week internship to a senior capstone project, students deepen their understanding of their chosen field and emerge with a clear sense of direction. Graduates who complete a Center receive a specialized diploma, a testament to their dedication and growth.
At Marianapolis, we don’t just prepare students for college—we help them discover who they are, what they care about, and how they’ll make a difference in the world.
Mark R. Russell ’67 Center for Business & Entrepreneurship

At Marianapolis, the college placement journey is a highly personalized, student-centered experience. Beginning early in a student’s high school career, our College Placement Office partners with each individual to identify strengths, define goals, and chart a path that leads to a fulfilling post-secondary experience.
Through one-on-one counseling, college planning seminars, and individualized support, students are empowered to make informed decisions about their future.
Our College Placement Office takes the time to understand each student—not just their academic profile, but their passions, values, and aspirations.
Whether a student is aiming for a highly selective university, a specialized program, or a school that offers the right environment for their growth, we help them navigate the application process with confidence and clarity.
We are proud to celebrate the diversity of our graduates’ college choices, reflecting their unique journeys and the strong foundation they have built here.
With more than 30 clubs and organizations, Marianapolis offers countless ways for students to lead, serve, and connect. Whether welcoming prospective families through the Ambassador Club, mentoring younger students in Peer Leadership, sparking creativity in Calliope, and spreading kindness with Give Joy, Get Joy, students are empowered to step up, make a difference, and leave a lasting impact on the community.
Student life beyond the classroom is dynamic, engaging, and full of opportunities to lead.
Clubs & Organizations to Explore Leadership is woven into the fabric of our community. Students serve as assistants in our residential program, lead all-school meetings, and chair student-run committees. Through formal roles or everyday initiative, Marianapolis students are encouraged to step forward, take ownership, and make their mark.
Clubs aren’t just activities—they’re opportunities to build community, shape campus culture, and develop the confidence and perspective that define student leaders. Whether you are launching a new club or joining an established group, your voice matters.
At Marianapolis, faith is a foundation and an invitation. Rooted in our Catholic heritage and the mission of The Congregation of the Marian Fathers, Campus Ministry encourages students of all backgrounds to explore their spirituality, deepen their values, and grow in purpose.
Through full-school Masses, student-led prayer services, service trips, and retreats, Campus Ministry provides meaningful opportunities to reflect, connect, and give back. Students are empowered to lead with compassion, engage in thoughtful dialogue, and live out their beliefs through action.
Whether serving as a Eucharistic Minister, joining a service project, or simply finding a quiet space for reflection, students are supported in their journey to discover who they are and who they are called to be.
Designed to complement traditional academics, LEAP encourages students to challenge themselves beyond the familiar and customary learning situations. Whether learning to sail, embarking on a rock climbing adventure, or traveling to another country, students engage deeply with the world around them, alongside faculty who share their passion and curiosity. These shared experiences spark meaningful relationships and ignite a spirit of lifelong learning that carries back into every corner of campus life.
With opportunities offered throughout the academic year—on weekdays, weekends, and during extended 3-, 7-, or 10-day immersive experiences—students can pursue areas of interest across disciplines, from scientific fieldwork and cultural immersion to leadership development, the arts, and outdoor challenge.
HANDS-ON DISCOVERY
Learning doesn’t end when students leave the classroom—it expands. Our LEAP program invites students to step boldly into real-world exploration, where discovery is hands-on, growth is personal, and curiosity leads the way.

With students from across the country and around the world, dorm life fosters connection, responsibility, and lifelong bonds.
Our international community is an essential part of who we are—a diverse, welcoming blend of cultures, languages, and lived experiences that shape daily life in our classrooms, residence halls, and dining spaces. Students from over 20 countries come together to form a global village rooted in mutual respect, connection, and understanding.
Whether collaborating on a group project, celebrating a cultural holiday, or sharing a favorite family recipe in a residence kitchen, our students constantly learn from one another in ways beyond textbooks.
We believe that a Marianapolis education should expand your worldview. Our international students bring depth to discussions, broaden perspectives, and prepare all of our students, whether local or global, for a future where cultural awareness and empathy are essential.
No matter where you come from, you’ll find a sense of belonging here.
No matter where you come from, you’ll find a sense of belonging here. As you share your story, you’ll become part of something bigger: a diverse and united community that makes Marianapolis not just a school, but a home.
Our 7-Day Boarding is the traditional residential program we offer to our students, inviting them to fully immerse themselves in campus life throughout the academic year. With a vibrant, supportive community always close at hand, students live, learn, and grow in their home away from home. During school breaks, when our houses and halls close, students return home to rest and reconnect, returning to campus reenergized and ready to engage.
The Day Student Boarding Experience (DSBE) invites day students to step into the life of a boarder by staying on campus for two weeks in one of our houses or halls. During this time, students participate in evening programming, community meals, and the everyday rhythm of residential life.
DSBE is a chance to explore independence in a supportive setting, strengthen friendships, and gain a deeper understanding of the diverse and connected community that defines Marianapolis.
Whether it’s a late-night study session, a house activity, or simply sharing space with peers from around the world, DSBE offers day students a meaningful extension of their Marianapolis experience. This immersive opportunity is offered at no additional cost to day families.
Our 5-Day Boarding program offers students from the New England region the best of both worlds—weekday immersion in our residential community, and weekends at home with family. From Sunday evening through Friday afternoon, students live on campus in one of our residential houses or halls, experiencing the rich traditions, routines, and connections that define life at Marianapolis.
5-Day Boarding nurtures responsibility, self-reliance, and deep engagement with our campus culture, offering students the chance to grow in meaningful ways, both at school and at home. Many of our 5-Day boarders come from the greater Boston area, western Connecticut, Rhode Island, the Connecticut shoreline, western Massachusetts, and southern parts of New Hampshire and Vermont.
