Typography

The project consists in the design of a typeface SPECIMEN, a twelve pages leafet that presents a typeface with all its feautures, applications, and formal identity. The peculiarity of this project is the use of specimes to tell our message. This message consists of transmiting why we are studying the degree in Design and how we got here; expectations, interests, hobbies and passions.

Tol transformation

The project explores the value of everyday objects by examining their design, structure, and components through reverse engineering. It aims to understand their manufacturing, assembly, ergonomics, and handling, emphasizing Charles Eames’ idea that “details make the design.” Beyond technical analysis, as a designer, I express the object’s use and identity, and propose transformations to explore new functional, material, and formal possibilities.

TRANSFORMACIÓN FINAL ALICATE AJUSTABLE

This transformation replaces the adjustment wheel with an integrated locking wheel in the cutter. Its purpose is to facilitate head adjustments for diferent sizes with a single 45-degree movement. The locking wheel is unscrewed from the second head of the pliers to allow movement, then re-screwed to secure the desired size. This ensures a more secure fxation and relieves tension in the user’s hands, wrists, and arms. The majority of the required force is applied when locking and fully screwing the wheel into the head.

Consolidation of body

The project involves a fashion intervention, blending volume and texture techniques inspired by fashion masters and cultural traditions. It explores methods like addition, subtraction, and pattern adaptation, emphasizing experimentation. Combining Balenciaga’s innovation and Vionnet’s draping with Aliste capes, the designs merge timeless elegance with Hispanic culture. Volume and Vionnet’s draping and bias cutting enhance visual and textural appeal, culminating in our fnal designs, exhibition, and photography.

Service design

This project involves designing a service using interviews, customer journey mapping, mind maps, and a business canvas model. My group and I created a mobile app to showcase university clubs, often overlooked due to miscommunication. Our goal is to promote efcient time management and cultural enrichment among students.

We recognize the challenge of balancing academics with personal growth activities like sports and creativity, which contribute to true fulfllment. Many students spend excessive time on screens out of boredom, but technology itself isn’t the problem—it’s how we use it.

Our app helps students discover and engage in university clubs, promoting a healthier balance between academics and personal enrichment for a more fulflling university experience.

Pre Experience

Eva feels like she’s wasting her best years without engaging in new activities. She recognizes that she isn’t using hewr time well, but she doesn’t know how to solve it. Sometimes she feels overwhelmed with responsibilities.

Touchpoint

Social Media

Feelings

She starts researching and finds different options, but the information is confusing and she starts to feel frustrated. However, with most of the options she finds, she doesn’t understand how to subscribe.

During Experience

Eva talks with her friends about organizing an afternoon of creative activities and proposes many plans of different aspects, and everyone seems excited about the ideas and oportunities they have

Students Local Shops

Desesperate Hopefull

They head to the city center and spend the afternoon shopping and enjoying themselves. Later, they have dinner and chat about their days, but completely forget about the creative aspect of their afternoon.

Post Experience

But instead they spend a lot of money that exceeds her budget. Realizes that the activity wasn’t meaningful for them and lacked real significance.

Eva and her friends realize that they all feel the same way but doesnt know what tod oand just stay making the same plans every week

Speculative design

The project explores a future where elderly people rely on implanted microchips to recall personal memories, identity details, and basic selfknowledge. This dependence poses risks if connectivity fails.

Memory becomes a tech-managed service, transforming self-perception.

What if the network fails? Without functioning microchips, individuals can’t prove their identity, disrupting banking and healthcare, causing social chaos, and leading to service breakdowns. Inaccessible medical records disrupt healthcare, causing distress and reevaluating our tech dependence. These microchips, designed for secure data storage and biometric activation, underscore concerns about our reliance on technology.

Material archive

In this project, I had the challenge of unifying various perspectives on materials and creating a repository. I designed a materials library, analyzed three materials in depth, and presented them in an exhibition. Materials libraries are technical information centers designed to provide knowledge about materials and disseminate their technical information. While they typically include material exhibition and storage, my focus was solely on the exhibition.

This design features four modular wooden panels: a magnetic panel for metal samples, a solid wood panel with clips for joining materials, and two panels with perforations to hold wooden sticks as a display stand. It ofers an interactive, visually engaging experience, emphasizing functionality and tactile interaction. The datasheet is simple, versatile, and easy to understand.

The end...

We’ve reached the end of my portfolio! This second year has been a rollercoaster of emotions and growth. I’ve learned 3D modeling, collaborated with large teams, thought outside the box to imagine new worlds, conquered my fear of public speaking, and delved into reverse engineering—something I never expected. This year has truly challenged me to become a better designer.

There were times I thought about giving up, doubted my abilities, and felt overwhelmed, but I persevered. None of this would have been possible without the support of my teachers and the encouragement of those around me. They never left my side and motivated me to keep going.

A highlight of this year was traveling to Berlin with my class, where we bonded like a family and gained invaluable insights that will make us better designers. Life is a continuous learning journey, and no matter how tough things get, the key is to never give up. Every mistake teaches us a lesson, and I frmly believe that everything happens for a reason—you just have to trust the process.

I am deeply grateful for everything that has happened and to everyone who has been part of this journey. Thank you!
