When picking strawberries, choose firm, plump berries with a vibrant red color and fresh green caps. Avoid berries with soft spots or mold.
Store unwashed strawberries in the refrigerator for up to a week. Wash them gently just before eating or using in recipes to maintain freshness.

INGREDIENTS
1 pound fresh strawberries, hulled and chopped
1 cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons lemon juice
In a saucepan, combine the chopped strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice.
Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar dissolves and the mixture starts to boil.
Reduce the heat to low and simmer the mixture for about 30-40 minutes, or until it thickens to a jam-like consistency.
Stir occasionally to prevent burning.
Remove the saucepan from heat and let the jam cool slightly.
Transfer the jam to clean, sterilized jars and seal them tightly.
Store the jars in the refrigerator once opened, and enjoy the homemade strawberry jam on toast, scones, or as a topping for desserts.

Muscadine and Pumpkin Seasons
Muscadines are ready to be picked in late Summer and early Fall, usually from August to September. That's when they are sweet and juicy!

Pumpkins are all about Autumn, especially during Halloween and Thanksgiving time in the fall.

INGREDIENTS
2 cups of fresh muscadines, washed and stems removed 1/4 cup of water
1/4 cup of sugar (adjust according to taste)
Popsicle molds or small paper cups
Popsicle sticks
In a blender, combine the muscadines, water, and sugar. Blend until you have a smooth mixture. Pour the mixture into popsicle molds or small paper cups. Insert popsicle sticks into each mold. Freeze the popsicles for at least 4 hours or until they are completely frozen.
Once frozen, remove the popsicles from the molds by running warm water over the outside of the mold or gently pulling on the popsicle sticks for paper cup molds.

Since 1856 the Ingram family has had a growing passion and knowledge for farming. Six generations of growing high quality, hand-picked products on the farm land founded and purchased by Deans great grandparents. Our 40-acre farm & piece of family heritage is located in high point, North Carolina. Here we have selected the best varieties of fruits and vegetables to go along with our seasonal conditions, mineral rich “sandyloam” soil, important for providing key nutrients to your food along with a natural source of water.
Our family has been working together for 40 years now, to produce the magic and sweetness of spring, strawberry season. The first crop planted in 1980 on straw, by Deans brother Chris Ingram was the start to a lifelong commitment of growing high quality, fresh picked daily, chandler sweet strawberries. We take pride in all of our products sold in the country store and we hope you and your family are able to join us at the farm for a sweet, wholesome experience.
