We’ll explore music by playing instruments, and listening to the sounds that different instruments make. We’ll practice rhythms using our bodies as instruments. We will sing lots of songs, and interpret music through dance or art. Come ready to sing, dance and have lots of fun! Monday: 5:45pm-6:45pm This introduction to ceramics teaches hand-building techniques using “Sculpey” clay and self-hardening clay. Both are easily baked and then painted, avoiding the need for re-firing glazed projects. We’ll cover techniques like coil building, handles and slab rolling to create projects like vessels, boxes, lids and other 3-D forms. Calling all Lego fans! Each week your creativity will be challenged, as you are assigned to design something new. From spaceships to animals, from race cars to castles, you’ll be making all kinds of cool structures. Whether we build by ourselves or in groups, we’ll build some amazing things! We’ll take pictures of you with each creation and send them to you to enjoy recreating on your own.
