OUR WARRANTY & GUARANTEE Freedom Access Vehicles warrants its modified van and bus modifications including ramps and lifts. We recommend a service contract with Freedom Access Vehicles (Conditions Apply) from the date of delivery.

The standard vehicle warranty will not be affected by the modifications made to your van or bus. Freedom Access vehicles has a stringent quality control system. This demonstrates the company’s continued commitment to producing quality wheelchair accessible Vans & Buses for the Australian market.

FREEDOM SEATS Freedom designs and installs custom made seating. All our seats have built-in lap sash retractor belts that can be installed on either side of the seat as requested by our customers. All seats have been manufactured in house to the highest quality standards, have a powder coated finish and are comfortable to sit on. All seats come upholstered with our standard two tone grey vinyl. You also have the option to have seats upholstered with any other vinyl, leather or cloth to suit customer requirements.

Other options like magazine netting and foldable arm rests are available. The seats come also in an optional wider design to suit larger and heavier passengers. Freedom seats have a modern appearance, fitting well with the design of today’s vehicles. Freedom seats comply with ADR 3/03 & 5/06.

All seats are manufactured in house to the highest quality standards.

FREEDOM EZ-FOLD SIDE FOLDING SEAT Freedom has designed a new revolutionary EZ-FOLD side folding single and double seat. It completely eliminates any heavy lifting or bending down to the floor to reach levers. Several features are incorporated to make the daily task of folding or unfolding the seat much easier than ever before like: 1) One leg only, so there is no tripping hazard.

2) One hand lever to fold the seat flat.

3) One foot lever to release the seat. It is gas-strut supported, so the seat moves up to its stowing position all by itself. This is probably the easiest folding seat on the market today. All EZ-Fold seats are manufactured in house to the highest quality standards. The seat complies with ADR 3/03 & 5/06 and is patent pending.

FREEDOM EZ-QUICK RELEASE SEAT Freedom has designed a new revolutionary EZ-Quick release system that fits to the standard Freedom seating or can be adapted to most other types of bus seating. The system has a complete different construction compared to other quick release products on the market. Several features are incorporated to make the daily task of removing and re-attaching seats much easier than ever before like: 1) H-Style braced floor plate bolted on top or sunken (no tripping hazard) into the bus floor for easy positioning of seats, even rear facing.

2) Seat legs have a locking mechanism with an easy under the front seat cushion release handle for minimum bending over when releasing the seat from the floor.

3) Fixed rear wheels for easy manoeuvring of the seat. All EZ-Quick release seat mechanisms have been manufactured in house to the highest quality standards. The seat complies with ADR 3/03 & 5/06 and is patent pending.

Braun Vista Stacking Platform Wheelchair Lift When not in use the stacking platform is stowed below the vehicle’s windows, providing good visibility for passengers and driver. The Braun Vista series public use lifts are fully automatic in operation and operated by an attendant using the standard handheld Control.

Braun Vista Split Platform Wheelchair Lift The unique feature of the Braun Vista Split series lies within the platform. When not in use the split platform is stowed in parallel to the vehicle’s sides, leaving an unobstructed view and good access. The public use lifts are fully automatic in operation and operated by an attendant using the standard handheld control.

Under floor UVL wheelchair lifter for large busses and Bariatric Lifts are also available on request.

All Lifters come standard with a wired hand held control pendant. Freedom remote controlled pendants are also available as an option for any lift. All Braun lifts come with a 1 year warranty, but if you sign up for the extended warranty plan with scheduled services, we will extend the warranty to 3 years.

Note: If you prefer a different brand of wheelchair lift, we have no problem installing them.

FREEDOM RESTRAINTS Q’Straint 4-Point Wheelchair Securement System Q’Straint introduced the world’s first fully integrated 4-point wheelchair passenger securement system, the industry standard for more than 25 years. Each component is designed, engineered and tested to work as one cohesive system. In the event of a collision or sudden stop, the system isolates the forward forces of the occupant from those of their chair by directing the chair’s forces to the vehicle floor.

Meaning less stress on the wheelchair occupant. Q’Straint provides quality products for all budgets, without jeopardizing safety.

RETRACTOR SYSTEM The QRT series of retractors are the easiest and fastest-securing 4-point systems available today. These systems allow drivers to secure a wheelchair in less than 15 seconds, while reducing the risk of driver injury and drastically reducing vehicle wait times for transportation operators. These restraint systems are now an industry standard and are used in 90% of today’s Vehicles & Buses.

QRT DELUXE KIT (Tracking) 4 fully automatic tensioner retractable wheelchair straps with a knob, adapted to fit Q’Straint floor anchorage L-Tracking rails. Includes a lap only belt. Optional Lap sash Belt available. These restraints can be fitted at different positions on a track to suit different size wheelchairs. The strap a J Hook will hook to a solid frame member of a wheelchair and tension itself.

The knob is used for extra tension when needed.

Includes a lap only belt. Optional Lap sash Belt available. These restraints can be fitted at fixed positions only. The placing of the restraints is much easier than the track fitting and illuminates restraint positioning mistakes.

A worldwide first in electric locking retractors Q’Straint introduces the QER-4000, the world’s first 4M Front Electrical Locking Retractor for the easy securement of wheelchairs in vehicles. Electric retractors are intended for use as front tie downs where limited space is an issue. The retractors are unlocked electronically through the vehicle’s electrical system.

Warranty All Q’Straint wheelchair restraints come with a 1 Year warranty.

Note: If you prefer a different brand of restraint system, we will have no problem to installing them.

FREEDOM STEPS Freedom has several entry step solutions to cater for your passenger entry into your vehicle. We have the following steps available: The Automatic Sliding step is operated by the door switch or driver operated switch. The design is very strong and suits the Australian environment. It comes in 600mm and 900mm wide sizes and can take up to 150Kgs. It comes standard with beeper and LED lights for safety. The Manual Fold Out step is easy to operate and can be folded out after the side door has been opened. This step can also take up to 150Kgs and fold neatly away in the door well. The 3 Tier Step can be automated and linked in with the original door switch on larger buses like Mitsubishi Rosa’s and Toyota Coasters. Our standard 3 ties step can take 150Kg’s and we have an option for a 200Kg step. All our steps have been designed to fit several brands of vehicles. Freedom has the right step solution for your vehicle.

FREEDOM HANDRAILS Freedom has a complete solution for your vehicle Handrail needs. Our handrails can be installed to your vehicle to make entering or leaving the vehicle easier for less mobile and elderly passengers. One or a combination of several handrails can be installed, and all are designed to give a modern appearance fitting well with the design of today’s vehicles. Our handrails are strong and durable and have a powder coated finish. Our handrails are built from 32mm and 25mm round steel pipe. There is a choice of external, internal and swing out handrails to fit different vehicles. We can custom make any handrail to fit any vehicle. The swing out handrails are an option that can be fitted to our standard fixed handrails and are a complete different construction compared to other products on the market. They can be opened from the inside in case of an emergency.

FREEDOM SAFETY BARRIERS Freedom can install safety barriers in all buses and some vehicles (depending on the curtain airbags). There are several types of barriers. Cargo barriers, Vapour lock, driver protection barriers and passenger protection barriers. These barriers are mainly constructed out of a steel tube frame with aluminium sheet plate, different steel mesh sizes or even see trough polycarbonate sheeting. We can design and install the perfect barrier for your particular needs. Note, some vehicles are not appropriate for a safety barrier because they might interfere with existing curtain airbags in the vehicle during a collision.

FREEDOM FLOORING Freedom has recently introduced a one piece flooring system that can be made to size for any type of bus floor up to a size of 4400mm Long x 1800mm Wide x 16mm Thickness. The floor is machined to the exact sizes by using a large CNC routing machine. We at Freedom believe that our company is the only one in Australia that can offer a one piece only floor. Traditionally floors are put together from several sheets of 12mm plywood, glued together, ground flat, screwed down with many screws through the main steel bus floor and then vinyl glued on to the top to give the illusion of a one piece floor. After several years you can start seeing the seams where the joints are coming loose etc. This does not occur with our floor system. Our floor and Vinyl are machined together in one piece so you end up with a superior product and a superior finish, only available from Freedom!

FREEDOM HUGE STORAGE BOX Storage or the lack of storage is a big concern for the Community Transport Industry. Items like shopping bags and mobility aids such as wheelchairs, walkers etc. are very difficult to store securely within a vehicle. In most cases seats are permanently removed to allow for extra storage space within the vehicle, reducing space for passengers.

Open storage space without proper bracing can become a health issue with goods being propelled through the vehicle endangering passengers. Freedom has come up with a solution by designing a huge rear mounting storage box that can be fitted permanently or as a removable component. The Freedom storage box comes with its own rear lights and electronic connections. The Freedom storage box is set at a convenient height to alleviate bending and can take several folded walkers, wheelchairs and/or many bags of shopping. Adjustable ratchet straps and shopping bag holders are included.

FREEDOM STORAGE SYSTEMS Freedom has a storage solution for your storage needs.

If it is just a small box to store your wheelchair restraints or a huge box or area to store wheelchairs and walkers we can work together with you to find the best solution for your needs. We can even attach straps so you can restrain equipment while traveling.

FREEDOM SIDE & REAR DOOR ACCESS Freedom can build an access door to the side or rear of you larger bus. The opening of the door is big enough to fit most wheelchair lifts and ramps on the market. The doors open with ease and can be fitted with an opening gas strut where possible so the door opens slowly and to hold the door open without the use of any extra holding latch. The door design compliments the original appearance of the vehicle as if it was built by the original vehicle manufacturers.

The quality and workmanship is outstanding. These side entry single and rear door solutions are available for the Toyota Coaster & Mitsubishi Rosa Buses and other buses on request.

FREEDOM OPTIONS FREEDOM REMOTE A complete system can be installed to the vehicle, so with a push on the remote control pendant, the tailgate and ramp will automatically open or close. This is great for those that want to be more independent by being in control of entering and leaving the vehicle without any outside assistance.

FREEDOM DOCK This Device consists of 2 sections. The receiver mechanism that is bolted to the floor of the vehicle, and the docking plate that can be mounted to most wheelchairs on the market. It completely eliminates the use of cumbersome wheelchair restraints and it only takes about 3 seconds to lock the wheelchair and with a push of a button you can release the wheelchair from the system in about 5 seconds.

No more bending or kneeling down to attach restraints to the wheelchair.

If it is just a driving knob, pin, fork etc., or an accelerating and braking handle, handbrake extension or an electric handbrake, electric operated indicators, lights, wipers horn etc., left side accelerator pedal etc., we have the perfect combination of in house made products and the best products available on the market. Because we have our own design and engineering workshop, we can tailor make any device needed to make your driving experience the best it can be.

FREEDOM 6 WAY SEAT This 6 Way Power Transfer Seat Base provides convenient and time saving transfers from wheelchair to driver or front passenger seat.

Operation is simple. With a press of a finger, the fully automatic Power Transfer Seat Base swivels 90 degrees with individual controls from front to rear travel and height providing complete control and comfort.

FREEDOM LIFT SEAT This Seat base can bring the driver or passenger seat outside the vehicle to the wheelchair seat height for easy transferring. After Transferring, with a press of a button, the seat can be operated to lift and turn into the vehicle comfortably. Several models are available to suit different vehicles and positions.

FREEDOM CAMERA For those who want to see what is happening behind them while reversing, a reversing camera can be installed. We have several systems available. Besides the Standard reversing camera we have a system that replaces the original mirror with a system that is not only a reversing camera, but also a GPS system, a Bluetooth Phone answering system and has many more features. The moment you put the vehicle in reverse, the monitor will automatically switch to a reverse view.

FREEDOM AUTO DOOR If you have a vehicle with a manual sliding door, Freedom can fit an aftermarket system that can be operated by a remote control to make it very easy for the driver. This system has built-in safety features to make it as safe as possible for your passengers. This option is available for several vehicles.

FREEDOM AIRCONDITIONING Freedom can install an aftermarket Air-conditioning system to any van, bus or small van. We can finish it with upholstery to complement the original interior of the vehicle. Several sizes are available.
