WHAT DOES KACY MEAN TO YOU?

What does Kacy mean to me? Wow, that’s a good question, with a lot of possible answers and explanations, but I guess I don’t have time to write a book about it, right?

When I was a little, I started watching tv shows with gay content in them Safe to say, I’ve had a lot of couples/ships that I absolutely loved (still love them) and which had an impact on my life and made me realize lots of things Some of them made a huge impact, and some of them made just an impact After 35 years, I can safely say that Kacy is one of those ships that, not only had a huge impact on my life but also completely changed it Weird, right? But it happened It took that long to have a couple on TV who will change my life, FOR BETTER I wished when I was a teen that Kate and Lucy were a representation on TV To show me that LOVE IS LOVE, that you don’t have to be ashamed of whom you love or that you don’t have to give explanations to anyone why are you the way that you are, because you are just perfect the way you are Kacy is the light at the end of the tunnel Kacy is freedom Kacy is being perfectly imperfect Kacy is courageous Kacy is realizing that you can make mistakes but that doesn’t make you a bad person, all the contrary if you learn from those mistakes, you become a better person Kacy is making people feel seen and validated Kacy is making people feel like they MATTER because they do

If someone asks me a few years from now “who was Kacy?”, I won’t say “Kacy was ” , I will say “Kacy is…” because they will always be part of me, no matter the time that passes by. It’s something that never ends. It’s like that first love that you can never forget. The greatness itself. The privilege to be part of.

There are a lot of things I can say about what Kacy means to me, but it all can sum up into this: Kacy is FAMILY. It’s not only that as a couple they’ve changed my life, but also thanks to them, I’ve met so many wonderful people whom I can call “OHANA”. And for that, I couldn’t be more grateful and happy.

Thank you, Tori and Yas, for portraying Kate and Lucy the way you do Thank you for caring Thank you for making Kacy my comfort couple, my escape, and my safe place

You’ve changed so many lives and you probably don’t even know about it From the bottom of my heart, I thank you once again, and here’s hoping for Kacy to last for so many years more, because their story is what makes difference in the world

You will probably never understand how important Kacy is to the world You are just doing your work (flawlessly let me point out) but this story is what many lesbians have been asking for years Just a couple treated naturally, with problems every couple faces Me, as a 30 years old woman, I wish I had watched this treatment when I was young and I could have had a badass special agent as a referent I can't believe we got you as the main couple!!! It's an honor to watch powerful and professional women on TV And it's even greater to see all of you getting along in real life and the support of all the cast and team

We have to be thankful for such an awesome plot from the writers but both of you made it come to life in such a powerful way with your acting and chemistry so THANK YOU

WHAT DOES KACY MEAN TO YOU?

I'm not gonna lie, Kacy was the reason I started watching NCIS: Hawai'i, and I did not expect to love them as much as I do now and for them to mean so much to me Kacy means many things to me but mainly hope Speaking for myself, after getting attached to so many wlw couples and having them ripped from us, I did start losing hope that we ' re ever going to get a wlw couple with a good and respectful storyline, but then Kacy gave me that and so much more I know how hard it is for couples to get good development and screentime on tv shows that have a different focus, especially if it's a procedural show like NCIS: Hawai'i, but the way they introduced Kacy and were so respectful in the way they treated their relationship was the most beautiful thing to watch The way they made Kacy complement each other and evolve as a couple, never forgetting who the characters are on their own was the best thing I've seen From all the angst to the fluff, it was amazing to watch every Monday NCIS: Hawai'i became my comfort show and my primary source of happiness in times like this, where we can never have too much hope for streaming shows

When I saw the first Kacy scene, I didn’t imagine what it would mean not only to me but to the fans all over the world!!!! They teach us what true love feels like!!! Their love wins every time all the difficulties that they face, their love helps them to grow individually as well!!! Also, their love story helps us in some very difficult times and also help me accept myself!!! Their love is one in a million and something that everyone wants but very few is lucky enough to experience!!! We fell in love with them from the beginning and we’ll always be!!! There are lots of things Kacy means to me The main reason is the positivity of the actresses that portray Kate and Lucy as members of the LGBTQI+ community. I recognized and identify with the characters being out or worrying about being outed. The scenes between Kate and Lucy together totally convince me. They help to show that LGBTQI folks have the same life as heterosexual people and break down barriers.

Kacy is my lifeline. This ship means so much to me. It's my happy place. Whenever I feel stressed or not in a good mood I watch Kacy scenes and it cheers me up right away. Well first and foremost I came out as a lesbian to my mom a couple of months ago after watching the show, didn’t go well but I’m out. For me, Kacy is a safe place, when the world goes bad but also the people I’ve met are amazing so I am very grateful for that.

what kate whistler means to me, I can relate to kate in a lot of ways one being, I am a very guarded person I don’t let a lot of people in, kate keeps her private life private which I do too. Being able to see me in a character is a beautiful feeling.

what lucy tara means to me when I think of lucy I think of light and sun she lights up every room she enters but she is also this badass that you should not mess with, she fights for the people she loves, she can be a little too stubborn for her own good but that’s what I love about her

Kacy means a breath of fresh air, it's so refreshing to see a relationship as healthy as the one they have And as someone who has watched a lot of tv shows, I can safely say Kacy is the best couple EVER I also love how natural everything is, it's super sweet and nice and kind and I really love how much they respect each other's time They've also really helped me discover who I am and they've helped me get through really bad days. They really mean a lot to me. OH and also, it's been really REALLY awesome getting to see their love story and their growth. Being 38 it's been really hard to watch TV shows that show couples that are the same as me that includes here in the UK and overseas

Usually, the gay person is the comedic relief where we only get to hear about them dating and maybe once or twice get to see those dates, or they are the secondary characters on the show that don't get a lot of screen time

If it's not this then we always get put under the same trope 1 wants kids the other doesn't or 1 is bisexual and end sleep with a man or the best one yet half of the w/w couples get killed off because according to showrunners the lesbian character is expendable because we are promiscuous so can just move on The last thing is we get used to bringing in more viewers or for the male gaze, However, what CBS has done with NCIS Hawaii is so amazing

The main relationship on the show is the lesbian couple and both characters are part of the main cast so they are shown just being as important as the other characters They are showing that 2 women can build a strong healthy loving relationship that faces the same everyday struggle as straight relationships And they also seem to be really supportive of them the same as the rest of the cast and crew are as well

You also have with the character of Kate she lost her brother so closed herself off and just wanted to get promoted and did everything by the book and had built her walls up so high no one could get through until she met the scrappy NCIS Agent. Lucy helped Kate to open up and break down her walls. She also found friends and family with Lucy's Co-workers. She moved from DIA and turned down a big promotion because she wanted to stay in Hawaii with the woman who stole her heart so moved to Agencies.

We find out that she has started being more openwork her new colleagues and she was then ready to introduce her gf to them which again is something she hadn't done before

In closing seeing Kate and even Lucy's growth has been magic to watch all because they fell in love with each other and the fact CBS and the showrunners seem invested to do right with this couple is all I've wanted other showrunners to do in the past

I never ever thought I would finally get to see this happen amd CBS have done it. And now I can watch a couple on TV who like me and my wife and showing that our love isn't wrong.

To me, it's amazing to have representation. Growing up, I didn't really have that. In my family, there's always been someone who wouldn't treat those who are gay right. To me, love is love and it should not matter if they are your family or friends. I think seeing homophobia growing up and still seeing it to this day changed me. Now seeing representation on TV means everything. Having that representation and knowing it's okay to love whom you want is something I can't explain.

Kacy is the reason I am where I am today. NCIS Hawaii started right when I also started college last year. I was so worried and nervous because I was entering a male-dominated field in one of the most challenging universities in my home country. After my first month, I considered shifting to a different degree program and switching schools because I was so behind compared to everyone else (I attended high school in the province while most attended that same university), and the expenses were too much for my family. However, seeing Kate Whistler and Lucy Tara thrive in their respective fields inspired me and was everything I needed to keep going. Watching Kacy and NCIS Hawaii made me so happy and it became my motivation to study hard and catch up (not to mention my brain was operating 18 hours behind to be in sync with Hawaii time, which gave me so much more time to study in the middle of the night hahaha) Now, just a few days ago, my university announced that I ranked number one in our batch in my first year of pre-med! They also gave me a scholarship that will really help my family financially I still can’t believe it, and I owe it all to Kacy, to NCIS Hawaii, and of course, to you, Ms Tori and Ms Yas Because of you, I get to

continue going to my dad’s dream university and study to become a doctor someday I have such a long way to go and a lot more challenges to face, but I find peace in knowing that no matter what happens, I’m going to have Kacy and NCIS Hawaii to go home to (and also all the amazing friends I have met through Kacy whom all mean so much to me) I’m so sorry if this is silly, but I promise to continue working hard so that I can make you proud someday Thank you so much for bringing happiness into our lives! Kacy is my ultimate comfort ship Even when they were broken up in season 1, they kept my heart and my attention as I willed for their reconciliation I have been inspired by them in a way I have never felt before, encouraging me to push through my insecurities to interact with other fans and sparking my creativity to write fanfiction As someone who identifies as a lesbian, seeing representation on screen is hugely important Kacy’s relationship makes me feel valid The way the cast supports their relationship and the fans means more to us than you’ll ever know Thank you for putting your hearts and souls into bringing this relationship alive on our TVs

Kacy means strength, determination, beauty and endless love Their ability to survive such a tumultuous start to their relationship Both knew they had something extraordinary between them, but unsure how to get there It might have been more dramatic than real life, but they have shown what couples go through The ups and downs and the work needed to get two people to their togetherness Kacy is living proof, regardless of who you are, love and happiness between two people is beautiful, deserved and how everyone should see love.

WHAT DOES KACY MEAN TO

I don't know how to explain just how important Lucy and Kate and the Kacy relationship is to me and many other people, but I'm going to try When I was growing up, I would latch on to shows with queer characters, not really knowing yet that I was gay myself And time after time, those characters and relationships would start out amazing I would see myself in those who were scared to come out, or didn't know quite yet they were queer Their relationship would blossom, and it was a joy to watch Then, inevitably, someone would decide that they didn't deserve to be happy anymore Time after time, I and thousands of others would have to watch the devastating turn their story would take, whether it was an untimely "shocking" death of one of the characters, or a contrived out-ofcharacter breakup. There was one, in particular, six years ago, that had so much promise ripped away heartlessly. It hit so hard that I never got too invested in another queer ship from that moment on. Until now. Deciding to take a chance again with Lucy and Kate was really hard for me, but there's something special about Kacy. The fact that their story started from the pilot was a huge positive for me because it told me that the show intended to invest in them. These characters you ' re playing, and their love is affecting a lot of people, in a really good way. The show has not disappointed in showing the ups and downs of the relationship and giving you the screen time you deserve. I am here for the ride, wherever it takes us. The vocal support I'm seeing from you both, the rest of the cast, the writers, etc. is also amazing. In a time where shows with queer main characters are getting canceled left and right, it is a breath of fresh air to see Lucy and Kate on screen. Thank you both for portraying these characters so beautifully, I hope you know how much it means to us. :)

-Izzi Okay so it’s hard to put into words just how much Kacy means to me as a lesbian If someone told little me who would watch NCIS (way too young) with my grandmother that one day this same franchise would not only represent me but also be one of the best representations I would not believe it I started NCIS Hawai’i after 1x20 I saw my mutuals on Twitter posting the beach scene and knew I had to watch When I started I expected Kacy to have little screen time or no story because that’s what I’m used to with lesbian stories on TV I was completely shocked that

they ended up being the main couple that kissed in the first episode I’m pretty sure I cried lmao But fr seeing these 2 amazing lesbian characters being unapologetically themselves and having lives and stories like any other character means so much to me When I have moments when I kinda lose hope I remember how much progress has been made and Kacy is proof of that So thank you Yas and Tori for doing such a beautiful job bringing Lucy and Kate to life and thank you for being amazing humans

For me, the Lucy Tara character means seeing myself represented on screen in a TV genre (crime procedural) that hasn’t ever acknowledged the lesbian community in such a meaningful way I am a Gen Xer so being part of the “forgotten generation” is in my DNA Yasmine’s portrayal is helping to heal the parts of me that I am still coming to terms with – my sexuality and being a person of color (half Filipina, like Yas) – in a world that can be cruel to those who are different and older (if you can call 43 old) I want to thank Yas from the bottom of my heart for portraying Lucy with such passion, care, and respect Monday nights are the highlight of my week from September to May – all thanks to Lucy, Tori, and Kacy!

When I saw the first episode and Lucy breaks the kiss by saying « oh no no no we can’t do this again My thought was: no no no I can’t do this again, I can’t get wrapped up in another show that will break my heart (especially with the bad track record of the NCIS franchise with LGBTQ characters!) but it’s the first female SAC so I have to watch it but I told myself that I would not get wrapped up in the Kacy relationship Fast forward to the parking lot kiss in episode 6 f**k too late!

My favorite scene from season 1 is gay panic Lucy at the beach and in season 2 it’s the BBQ scene between Lucy saying «I’ll be right here with you always» and the back hug at the end, it’s just perfect

The worst “ prop ” for Kacy will always be the elevators (hopefully they won’t come up with something worst haha!) The best “ prop ” for Kacy is Kate's couch, I hope we will get other greats scenes there like the ones we got on s02e03

I honestly think that season 2 is giving us the best representation of a lesbian relationship on TV right now

They are my comfort couple, my escape, no matter what happens in my life, I can go home watch their scenes, and tune out everything else, which is a welcome break for my life right now even if only for a few minutes!

Side note: the height difference is absolute perfection

Kacy is like a safe and comfy place for me Ever since I was a little kid OG NCIS is always like a comfort show and now in my early 20s discovering an NCIS show featuring a queer couple bring extra warmth to it and instantly became one of my favorite show filled with wonderful and loveable characters being one of them, Kacy They showed me that loving someone can be beautiful and the most wonderful thing that a person can do, yes it can be a scary thing because you don’t know what lies ahead but if you do it with the right person it just feels right Kacy also beautifully portrayed and show that love is love no matter the gender and that it is totally okay as a woman to love another woman which I’ve rarely or never heard my entire life Kacy is like a gift you never know you needed cause of the constant big smile that they manage to give to me Thank you <3

My story with Kacy is simple I’m one among many Humans who are just in love with Love (I know Tori can relate) I think Love is oxygen for the soul That’s why I’ve been a tiny bit obsessed with Queer representation It matters to me because it fuels my positive spirit, validates my romantic heart, and pushes me to take up space and hope for a better future I also made amazing friends along the way

I know it’s a lot and it might make you feel overwhelmed at times, but don’t overthink it This amazing story started with a « chemistry read » through a virtual call and survived a surprising height difference and a (very) long slow burn romance And here we are Your team created an incredible show that feels like a family on and off-screen Everything feels like it was just meant to be So just be yourselves and enjoy the ride You two are talented actors, amazing people and queer representation champions (title goes with the role BTW - Sorry not sorry) That’s more than enough You’re more than enough You got this

Lucy Tara is just amazing She seems weak but she is really strong She loves with all her heart and it can make her vulnerable but I think that’s what makes her so strong She made me watch NCIS Hawaii in the first place because I barely watch shows like this one but I don’t regret it

Lucy Tara is the definition of a badass. She is proof that being small and female doesn’t mean that you can’t also be strong and confident. I think it’s important to see that reflected on TV at any age; I actively seek out characters like that because they inspire me in my own life. Whilst she’s strong and hilariously funny on the one hand, she has also shown her insecurities which makes her so real. I love how she comes across as fiercely protective and willing to put her own fears aside to help the people she cares about, that’s exactly what I’m like. Thank you for imbuing your essence into the character Yas, I can’t imagine anyone I’d rather see more as one of my heroes on screen

Lucy Tara Badass tiny special agent She seems weak but she is really strong She is stubborn, so I can relate to that But she loves with her whole heart and she would do anything for the person she loves and cares about She is a very complex character though and someone we know very little about Her growth in season 2 is something really remarkable and I wish we get to know more about her throughout the season She's helped me to become more confident and fight for what I want Also, she thought me that it’s ok not to be ok and that you should take all the time you need to learn how to be ok again, and how to trust again But also, she thought me that, no matter how heartbroken you are, you are still able to forgive and give a chance on love Besides that, she is so goofy and dorky and funny to be around She really inspires me in so many ways

The scene in the bullpen in 1x11 after Lucy's undercover op has my heart breaking every time I rewatch it and since the first time I saw it, I haven't been able to forget the way Lucy told Kate she was willing to take a lot of chances (bets, really) but Kate was no longer one of them But the one that hurts the most for me it's the bullpen one in 1x20 My heart breaks for both Lucy and Kate because you can see the love they have for each other, but at that moment, the hurt was too much Lucy for having her heart broken when she was so very in love but didn't know if that love was required, then trying to move on but not doing a very good job at it, and Kate for, not having handled her situation with Cara very well and being in love with Lucy, managed to push away the person she wanted to be the closest to and being physically hurt and being truly alone the moment she needed the most to have someone with her, to be there for her both physically and emotionally I went to bed crying that night after watching this episode

Definitely, the most heartbreaking scene is the ending scene in episode 20 in the office between Lucy and kate!!! Despite Kate’s mistakes her pain and regret were so evident that it wasn’t possible to feel sad for her!! Also, Lucy’s face and her eyes and her tears were the most painful thing ever!! They both clearly loved each other beyond words even back then and that breakup was so painful for both of them!! Their pain was as big as their love!! I couldn’t stop crying in that scene and every time I watch it I still cry even now after all this time!!

The scene in the bullpen when Lucy said to Kate "I loved you " in the past tense. Kate was already physically hurt and now also emotionally and had to return in that emotional state to a lonely apartment. She looked like a brokenhearted puppy and Lucy let her no room for an answer.

Hi, there are many scenes together that I like some funny, others tender but for me, the most heartbreaking scene without a doubt of "Kacy" was when they are in the bullpen and Lucy yells at Kate because she really broke her heart because she loved her it was a great scene! Of course when they broke up. I was really sad and my heart got broken also. I thought they were not getting back together.

For me, the most heartbreaking scene so far was the one where Lucy told Kate she loved her and her not allowing Kate to speak and allow her tell Lucy how she feels. I wish Kate was able to express how she felt because I think maybe they would've had the hard conversations and would've allowed them to reconcile sooner. Seeing how much Kate was hurt not just physically but also her feelings hurt made me feel for her because I've been in the same situation.

For me, the most heartbreaking scene is when Whistler realized how much she loves and cares for Lucy when she gets to Ernie's layer and finds out that they can't contact Lucy when she goes undercover, you can see how Whistler realized how much she does care after that is the famous scene and line from Lucy about the bets she would take on life and she no longer being one of them

We were all so hyped for Kacy in that episode and it was a devastating shocker and a very sad, but well-written way to end the episode! Though most will probably go with S1/E20, I am going with S1/E17 Breach. The scene in the car was heartbreaking because you saw Lucy’s heartache and anger with the “There is no us ” and Kate’s despair at unintentionally breaking them apart and being unable to apologize “Because if I did, this might truly be over ” . The anguish on Kate’s face and the sadness on Lucy’s and her deep sigh showed the heartbreak both were feeling. The final piece was Kate’s apology. Knowing she was risking losing Lucy forever and neither knowing how to get past it and back to each other. The scene was both heartbreaking and beautifully done by both.

I think the most heartbreaking moment of Kacy is the parking lot scene in season 1 episode 6 and definitely the ending scene of season 1 episode 20 For episode 6, I think my heart hurt a lot when Kate said "You're lucky, you know Your team Your boss You have each other's back and you still want to get a beer at the end of the day " I think it affected me a lot because it reflected on me and my relationship with people And for episode 20, the moment Lucy said "Because I loved you Kate", my heart broke into million pieces I can't imagine what went through her mind, thinking she really lost the person she loves without even really started a relationship with her Thinking she ruined everything because of her inability to break things off with someone she didn't even really care But every single episode where one or both of them crying is heartbreaking to me

My favourite scene has to be the last scene of episode 1x17 when Kate finally apologizes properly to Lucy. To me, this scene represents something extremely profound about love. Sometimes, loving someone means letting them go. Love isn’t always enough to make a relationship work. You need to not just understand each other but make each other feel understood. You have to make each other grow and support your dreams and aspirations. You need to be a safe space and a source of support when challenges arise or when doubt wants to take up all the space. Among other important things, of course. At that moment, Kate has to accept that what she did broke not just Lucy’s heart but also their relationship to a point where Love is just not enough anymore. It was well-delivered and hits me like a ton of bricks every time I watch it. Excellent job.

Our Wedding (Kacy's Version)

The day had finally arrived, Lucy and Kate’s wedding day Kate beamed with happiness as she read over the message Lucy sent her The two promised not to send each other pictures since they wanted to keep their wedding day looks a surprise until they saw each other at the altar, but it didn’t stop them from texting as much as possible

“You’re glowing,” said Kate’s mother, Nora “Thanks, mom ”

“You look so beautiful and deserve nothing but the best today I have something for you ” Her mother showed her the bouquet Kate picked out months ago for the special day and Kate was surprised to see what was fastened to it Her eyes filled with tears

“Mom ”

“I know you miss your brother as much as I do today Now, you have a part of him with you ” Kate’s fingertips grazed over the dog tag fastened to the bouquet and took in a deep breath to regain composure “I remember when he first got his dog tags He wanted to make sure I saw them ” “He’d be so proud of you ” “Thank you, ” she said as her mother hugged her A knock on the door made them look up to see Jane poking her head into the room “It’s time You ready?” asked Jane Kate took in a deep breath and nodded “Ready ”

As Lucy stared at herself in the mirror, dressed in her tailor-made suit, waves of emotions washed over her She was about to marry the love of her life

“You look absolutely stunning,” said her father as he entered the room. “You really think so?” He looked her over in her suit and she smiled when he dusted off the lapel of her jacket. “Of course. I know we don’t always see eye to eye on how you live your life, but I see the way you look at Kate and how she looks at you. I know she makes you happy. While I’m still not enthused with your career choice or the way you put yourself in danger…”

“Dad,” she warned.

“…I’m happy you found someone that makes you happy. Now, this is the part where you tell me how handsome I look. Couldn’t bring down your aesthetic when I walk you down the aisle,” he said. She playfully rolled her eyes. “You look quite handsome, old man. ”

“Who you calling old?”

“Well you certainly aren't getting any younger. ” He chuckled. “What am I going to do with you?” Lucy beamed with happiness when her mother glided into the room “Mom, you look amazing,” said Lucy “Nowhere near as breathtaking as you, my dear You look beautiful, just like I knew you would Are you ready?” asked Lillian

“Definitely Time to go become Lucy Tara-Whistler,” she announced Her father cleared his throat and Lillian gave him a look, but it didn’t deter him

“About that, are you sure the hyphenated name is necessary? Has she even considered becoming ” “Nope, not doing this Time to get married and quite frankly, you ’ re lucky I kept Tara Let’s go, ” said Lucy as she headed for the door

“Lucky?” questioned her father, but her mother pulled him out of the room before the conversation could derail things ***

Lucy was relieved when she made it down the aisle to wait on her bride and was glad she requested to be the first to walk down She was barely keeping it together as it was and couldn’t imagine if she had to wait any longer She sighed in relief when she stood in front of Ernie at the altar Having him officiate wasn’t only the resolution she needed for her choice between him and Jesse as her best man, but also seemed like the perfect choice for their wedding Ernie had been there from the beginning, cheering them on and hoping they would see they were destined to be together He was honored and got quite teary-eyed when they asked him to officiate

As the music transitioned, Lucy’s heart picked up in pace The moment she’d been waiting for was there When she saw Kate, all her nerves and anxiety melted away Kate’s gown was made with intricate lace and designed to flow over every curve of her body Her blonde tresses flowed in waves and she wore a breathtaking smile when she saw Lucy Jesse had to nudge Lucy to remind her to breathe as her eyes locked with her beautiful bride’s They couldn’t take their eyes off of each other and everything else faded away As soon as Kate reached her, Lucy tenderly kissed her Their guests giggled and Lucy smiled sheepishly.

“Sorry, I couldn’t help it You look amazing,” whispered Lucy Kate cupped her cheek as tears filled her eyes “You look so beautiful, Luce,” she whispered back as she looked Lucy over in her three-piece suit When Lucy told her she wanted to wear a suit, Kate knew her bride would look amazing As she stared at her in her tailored suit with no tie, a vest, and just enough buttons undone, she was in awe of her. Kate reached up to play with a curl of Lucy’s hair and Lucy wiped a stray tear from Kate’s cheek Their fingers laced together as they faced Ernie “We’re gathered here today to celebrate the union of Lucy Grace Tara and Kate Elizabeth Whistler I’ve watched Lucy and Kate grow together as a couple and individuals I’ve never seen two people gravitate toward one another in the way they always have and they remind all of us that love is worth it I’m honored to know them, to be considered part of their family, and to see the way they love each other Kate and Lucy wrote their own vows to share with one another. Kate,” he encouraged. Lucy smiled adoringly at her bride and gave Kate’s hand a comforting squeeze, sensing her nervousness “Lucy, these vows were the easiest and yet hardest words I’ve ever written because they’re about you and you ’ re the best thing that has ever happened to me I never expected you There aren't enough words to explain how important you are to me, but Lucy, you ’ re the most beautiful, and without a doubt, amazing woman I’ve ever met Since the first day I saw you, I couldn’t help but be in awe of you. From the beginning, all you ’ ve ever asked of me is to be myself and that was hard at first because I wasn’t really sure who that was All I knew was it was someone who wanted to make their way back to you, to the person who has always made me feel like I can do anything I promise to spend the rest of my life making you happy because every day I come home to you is the happiest day of my life I love you, Lucy,” she said as she wiped a tear from Lucy’s cheek “I love you too,” whispered Lucy “You two are so cute. Lucy, you ’ re up, ” cued Ernie. “Kate, I knew the moment I saw you I know that sounds cheesy and unrealistic, but I did and at first it scared me I knew the moment I saw you that you would be special to me I didn’t go into that bar looking for forever, but I found it I didn’t know how and I spent a lot of time trying to ignore it, because it scared me to know just how much I love you I never thought I could love someone as much as I love you You’re everything I’ve ever wanted and yet so many things I didn’t even know I needed. I’m so happy I get to spend the rest of my life with you because wherever you are will always be home I love you ” Kate kissed the top of her hand and they both giggled as they wiped tears from each other’s cheeks

“Do we have the rings?” asked Ernie Jane and Jesse handed the rings to Kate and Lucy “Do you, Kate Elizabeth Whistler, take Lucy Grace Tara as your lawfully wedded wife?” Kate gazed adoringly into her hazel eyes.

“I do,” she said with a smile

“Do you, Lucy Grace Tara, take Kate Elizabeth Whistler as your lawfully wedded wife?”

“I do ”

“Kate and Lucy, you ’ ve shared with us your vows and promises to one another, and have exchanged the rings that bind you to one another forever It’s my honor and great pleasure to now pronounce you wife and wife You may now kiss your bride.” Everyone cheered and applauded as Lucy pulled Kate into her arms for a tender kiss. They beamed with happiness as they turned to face their guests and walked down the aisle together It felt like it took forever to get to that point, but Kate and Lucy were finally married and couldn’t have been happier
