First term primary S.T.E.M. Workshop In the first term S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) workshop, the primary students had to create a prototype of a ‘floating garden’. Floating Gardens are safe places to grow plants on water and help in preventing natural disasters. They can vary in size and are made with everyday items ( jars, pots sticks etc.). The students spent a lot of time researching, planning and designing their floating gardens. At the end of the challenge, all the students that finished building their floating gardens got a special certificate of completion. The second term S.T.E.M. challenge will be to create a prototype of a ‘marble run’. We will cover this workshop in our term

three newsletter. Don’t miss it! By Vaishnav and Kshiti

Sunflower Competition On the 17th of March, the primary students met on the playground and planted sunflower seeds in pots made of a toilet paper roll. The tallest sunflower will win a prize at the end of the year. Each student is responsible to take care of their own sunflower and make sure it grows. Once the sunflower plants have grown, the students will plant them in the ISF playground. It was an engaging activity for all the students and they learned what it means to be an Eco-School!

The Year 2 class made beautiful photo frames to give to their parents. The frames were colourful and had their cute pictures on them. Lovely!

CIS Accredited!!! Our school is now accredited by the CIS (Council of International Schools).

It means that our school has achieved high standards of professional performance in international education. Our staff members and the school board worked very hard to achieve the CIS accreditation. The whole process took five years. On the 23rd of February 2022 our school celebrated this accomplishment. All classes enjoyed delicious cupcakes and the teachers got a scrumptious cake as well. It was a well deserved celebration!!!

Let's have some fun!
