Exciting News Melissa’s House is pleased to announce a $100,000 grant to the YWCA Columbus.
First Project Completed
Our missions are aligned and we are excited to play a role in the YWCA’s $20 million renovation to turn dormstyle rooms into 91 efficiency and 1-bedroom apartments specifically for those struggling with mental illness. Melissa’s House funds will be used to renovate and decorate a communityroom for the residents.
38 female residents living on East Fifth Avenue are enjoying newly decorated living spaces due to our first Melissa’s House grant. Designer Chris King of Manifesto, Inc. oversaw our design plan. It included enhancements to all group living spaces, a new color palette, flooring, tile, artwork and window treatments.
Continued Support A new venue and hundreds of supporters set the scene for our annual golf, game and tennis outing. Money raised is being used to enhance more residences in the year ahead.

Environment Impacts Recovery “It makes us feel good to know that outside people care about us being comfortable in the place we call home. Upgrades create a more positive atmosphere as we come together as a community,” East Fifth Avenue resident.
Delivering Our Message We are grateful to the Spacejunk team for creating a powerful new video for Melissa’s House. The animated video premiered at our golf, game and tennis outing and has been viewed by hundreds on YouTube.

As you are making your year-end giving decisions, please consider Melissa’s House so that together we can continue to restore hope. Happy holidays and best wishes in the year ahead,
2nd Project Underway We’ve teamed up with online design company Laurel & Wolf for this project on the southwest side. The Briggsdale Residence houses 35 women and men who are struggling with mental illness.
