GOD’S PROPHETS: ADMONISHERS AGAINST THE PRIESTS
By www.theologe.de[This essay is translated from the German on the Internet, www.theologe.de.]
God the Eternal spoke and speaks in all times through his prophets. All true prophets of God were and are admonishers against the priests.
God the free spirit has never used priests. The priests in all religions put themselves between God and his human children. In the Bibles of the churches, they have rewritten and falsified large parts of the tradition as they see fit.
Jesus of Nazareth in his Sermon on the Mount said he came “to fulfill the law and the prophets.” In his works, we can see what Moses and the true prophets of God revealed to people before Jesus of Nazareth: the teaching of love of God, charity, and the message that God’s reign is “in you,” that every person is a “temple of the Holy Spirit.” They also taught that God the Eternal loves every person and all forms of life in his creation infinitely and gives every person again and again the possibility for turning from inverted ways. They did not teach God the Eternal is a punishing God. However the priests invented rituals, sacraments, and liturgies; they created altars and put on cultic garments to distinguish themselves from the people. Their cults and cruel teachings like instructions on killing dissenters and calls to wars and animal sacrifice regulations eclipsed God the Eternal and his prophets. They betrayed the teaching of love of God and charity that are in force toward people, animals, and God’s whole creation. No priests or religions are necessary for their fulfillment.
Despite the falsifications, clear references to the original divine teaching and God’s admonitions against the priests and falsifiers of his message are found in the Bible. For example, we read in Jeremiah: “How can you say `we are wise and the law of the Lord is with us’? But, behold, the false pen of the scribes has made it into a lie.” [8.8]
Read what God the Eternal said through his true prophets about the priests or selfappointed “shepherds” or religious leaders. The priests were also included when the rulers of the people are chastised in some passages.
Much of this is very well-known. The priests and religious leaders appeared for nearly 2000 years to the present under the false label “Christian.” The priests misuse the good
name of Jesus the Christ for their sinister works. For centuries, they turned the teaching of love of God and charity and the unity of all life into their opposite.
The fact that each of the many priest- and pastor confessions of so-called Christianity teaches differently and are contradictory is evidence that they have long betrayed the original teaching of Jesus of Nazareth.
God raised his voice against the disastrous works of the priests through his prophets in the old covenant. In our time, the Christ-God-spirit speaks powerfully through Gabriele, God’s prophetess and ambassador.
The same priest caste was and is at work that fought God’s true messengers in all times and tried to wipe out God the living spirit. The “Baal” system, as God’s adversaries in the Old Testament are called, stands behind this caste. In all times, the prophet5s have been admonishers against the priests.
THE PRIESTS AS FALSE TEACHERS
“Hear the word of the Lord… for the Lord has a controversy with the inhabitants of the land. There is no faithfulness or kindness and no knowledge of God in the land; there is swearing, lying, killing, stealing, and committing adultery; they break all bounds and murder follows murder. Therefore the land languishes… Yet let no one contend, and let none accuse, for with you is my contention, O priest. You shall stumble by day… My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; they are greedy for their iniquity.” [Hosea 4, 1ff]
“The leaders of this people teach lies and those who lead this people lead them astray.” [Isaiah 9, 15]
“The priests did not say `where is the Lord?’ Those who handle the law did not know me; the rulers transgressed against me.” [Jeremiah 2, 8]
“How can you say `we are wise, and the law of the Lord is with us’? But, behold, the false pen of the scribes has made it into a lie… They have rejected the word of the Lord, and what wisdom is in them?” [Jeremiah 8, 8-9]
“For the shepherds are stupid, and do not inquire of the Lord; therefore they have not prospered, and all their flock is scattered.” [Jeremiah 10, 21]
“But `the burden of the Lord’ you shall mention no more, for the burden is every man’s own word, and you pervert the words of the living God” [Jeremiah 23, 36]
“And now, O priests, this command is for you… But you have turned aside from the way; you have caused many to stumble by your instruction” [Malachi 2, 1.8]
THE PRIESTS INVENT CULTS AND IDOLS
“Heaven is my throne and the earth is my footstool: what is the house which you would build for me, and what is the place of my rest? All these things my hand has made, and so all these things are mine, says the Lord.” [Isaiah 66, 1-2]
“For the customs of the peoples are false. A tree from the forest is cut down, and worked with an axe by the hands of a craftsman. Men deck it with silver and gold; they fasten it with hammer and nails so that it cannot move. Their idols are like scarecrows in a cucumber field, and they cannot speak, they have to be carried for they cannot walk.” [Jeremiah 10, 3-5]
“They have turned to me their back, and not their face; and though I have taught them persistence they have not listened to receive instruction. They set up their abominations in the house which is called by my name, to defile it. They built the high places of God.” [Jeremiah 32, 33-35]
THE CRUEL ANIMAL SACRIFICES ARE AN ABOMINATION TO GOD
“I hate, I despise your feasts and I take no delight in your solemn assemblies. Even though you offer me your burnt offerings and cereal offerings, I will not accept them, and the peace offerings of your fatted beasts, I will not look upon. Take away from me the noise of your songs; to the melody of your songs I will not listen.” [Amos 5, 21-23]
“What to me is the multitude of your sacrifices? Says the Lord; I have had enough of burnt offerings of rams and the fat of fed beasts; I do not delight in the blood of bulls, or of lambs, or of he-goats…Bring me no more vain offerings; incense is an abomination tome. New moon and Sabbath and the calling of assemblies – I cannot endure iniquity and solemn assembly. Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hates; they have become a burden to me, I am weary of hearing them. When you spread forth your hands, I will hide my eyes from you; even though you make many prayers, I will not listen; your hands are full of blood.” (Isaiah 1, 11-15)
“He who slaughters an ox is like him who kills a man.” [Isaiah 66, 3]
“For in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, I did not speak to your fathers or command them concerning burnt offerings and sacrifices. But this command I gave them, `Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be my people.’” [Jeremiah 7, 21-23]
“For lo, I am raising up in the land a shepherd who does not care for the perishing or seek the wandering, or heal the maimed, or nourish the soul, but devours the flesh of the fat ones, tearing off event heir hoofs. Woe to my worthless shepherd, who deserts the flock!” [Zechariah 11, 16-17]
THE DESECRATION OF THE EARTH
“And it shall be, as with the people, so with the priest; as with the slave, so with his master… The earth mourns and withers, the world languishes and withers; the heavens languish together with the earth. The earth lies polluted under its inhabitants; for they have transgressed the laws, violated the statutes, broken the everlasting covenant. Therefore a curse devours the earth, and its inhabitants suffer for their guilt; therefore the inhabitants of the earth are scorched, and few men are left.” [Isaiah 24, 2ff]
“Many shepherds have destroyed my vineyard… They have made it a desolation; desolate, it mourns tome. The whole land is made desolate, but no man lays it to heart.” [Jeremiah 12, 10]
“The violence done to Lebanon will overwhelm you; the destruction of the beasts will terrify you, for the blood of men and violence to the earth, to cities and all who dwell therein. What profit is an idol when its maker has shaped it, a metal image, a teacher of lies?” [Habakkuk 2, 17-18]
WOE TO THOSE WHO MARCH IN WAR
“Woe to the rebellious children,” says the Lord, who carry out a plan, but not mine, and who make a league, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin, who set out to go down to Egypt without asking for my counsel, to take refuge in the protection of Pharaoh, and to seek shelter in the shadow of Egypt. Therefore shall the protection of Pharaoh turn to your shame… Thus said the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel, `in returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and in trust shall be your strength”…Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help and rely on horses, who trust in chariots because they are many and in horsemen because they are very strong, but do not look to the Holy One of Israel or consult the Lord… The Egyptians are men and not God; and their horses are flesh, and not spirit.” [Isaiah 30, 1ff]
THE VIOLENT “HORDE OF THE PRIESTS”
“Their deeds do not permit them to return to their God. For the spirit of harlotry is within them, and they know not the Lord.” [Hosea 5, 4]
“As robbers lie in wait for a man, so the priests are banded together; they murder on the way to Shechem, yea they commit villainy.” [Hosea 6, 9]
“Hear this, you heads of the house of Jacob and rulers of the house of Israel, who abhor justice and pervert all equity, who build Zion with blood, and Jerusalem with wrong. Its heads give judgment for a bribe, its priests teach for hire.” [Micah 3, 9]
“For from the least to the greatest of them, everyone is greedy for unjust gain; and from prophet to priest, every one deals falsely. They have healed the wound of my people lightly, saying `Peace, peace,’ when there is no peace. Were they ashamed when they committed abominations? No, they were not at all ashamed; they did not know how to blush. Therefore they shall fall among those who fall; at the time that I punish them, they shall be overthrown, says the Lord.” [Jeremiah 6, 13]
THE DISSOLUTE LIFE OF PRIESTS
“The dogs have a mighty appetite, they never have enough. The shepherds also have no understanding; they have all turned to their own way, each to his own gain, one and all. `Come,’ they say `let us get wine, let us fill ourselves with strong drink, and tomorrow will be like this day, great beyond measure.” [Isaiah 56, 11-12]
PRIESTS RESIST GOD’S PROPHETS
On God’s Prophets: “Behold, I make you this day a fortified city, an iron pillar, and bronze walls, against the whole land, against the kings of Judah, its princes, its priests and the people of the land. They will fight against you, but they shall not prevail against you, for I am with you, says the Lord, to deliver you.”
[Jeremiah 1, 18]
WORDS OF JESUS OF NAZARETH ON THE RELIGIOUS LEADERS, THEOLOGIANS AND PRIESTS
“Beware of the scribes, who like to go about in long robes, and to have salutations in the marketplaces and the best seats in the synagogues and the places of honor at feasts.. who for a pretense make long prayers. They will receive the greater condemnation.” [Mark 12, 38-40]
“Then said Jesus to the crowds and to his disciples, `The scribes and the Pharisees sit on Moses’ seat, so practice and observe whatever they tell you, but not what they do; for they preach, but do not practice. They bind heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them on men’s shoulders, but they themselves will not move them with their finger. They do all their deeds to be seen by men… They love the place of honor at feasts… and salutations in the marketplaces, and being called rabbi by men. But you are not to be called rabbi, for you have one teacher, and you are all brethren. And call no man your father on earth, for you have one Father who is in heaven. Neither be called masters, for you have one master, the Christ. He is who is greatest among you shall by your servant; whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.’ [Matthew23, 1-12]
“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees hypocrites! Because you shut the kingdom of heaven against men; for you neither enter yourselves nor allow those who would enter to go in. Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees hypocrites! For you traverse sea and land to make a single proselyte and when he becomes a proselyte, you make him twice as much a child of hell as yourselves…
Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you tithe mint and dill and cumin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law, justice and mercy and faith; these you ought to have done, without neglecting the others. You blind guides, straining out a gnat and swallowing a camel!
Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you cleanse the outside of the cup and of the plate; but inside they are full of extortion and rapacity…
Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs, which outwardly appear beautiful, but within they are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness. So you also outwardly appear righteous to me, but within you are full of hypocrisy and iniquity…
You serpents, you crowd of vipers… I send you prophets and wise men and scribes, some of whom you will kill and crucify, and some you will scourge in your synagogues and persecute from town to town.” [Matthew 23, 13ff]
“Then I heard another voice from heaven saying, `Come out of her, my people, lest you take part in her sins, lest you share in her plagues;
for her sins are heaped high as heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities… And the kings of the earth will weep and wail when they see the smoke of her burning. They will stand far off, in fear of her torment, and say, `Alas, alas! Thou great city, thou mighty city, Babylon! In one hour has thy judgment come.” [Revelation 18, 4ff]
