The Blacksmith's Purpose

The Blacksmith's Purpose

Like iron shaped in fire, our Savior was formed through suffering for a divine purpose. The blacksmith's hammer seems cruel, yet it creates something useful and beautiful. Similarly, the nails that pierced Christ's hands weren't accidents of history but instruments of God's redemptive plan. Isaiah prophesied that He was pierced for our transgressions, crushed for our iniquities. Today, reflect on how God uses what seems destructive to accomplish His purposes. What "hammering" in your life might God be using to shape you? Remember, every blow Jesus endured was intentional He was being fashioned into our salvation. The fire of suffering produced the finished work of our redemption.
