January 2024 Bible Study

In the book The Cross and The Lynching Tree, Rev. Dr. James Cone, the renowned founder of Black Liberation Theology, writes that the crucifixion was clearly a first-century lynching.” In exploring the interconnection of the cross and lynching Rev. Dr. Cone, an ordained clergy of the AME Church demonstrates that both are symbols of the death of the innocent, mob hysteria, humiliation, and terror.
