FEATURED WEDDING

MACKENZI & ANDREW Saturday September 23, 2017 How did you and Andrew meet?

"We met in high school (Tesoro High School) and also through our church youth group. We started dating towards the end of my Senior year his junior year. He was a football player and I was a cheerleader. We dated for 7 years before he proposed."

How did he propose?

"He told me that he had received a bonus from work and wanted to celebrate by going to dinner. We drove down to Mozambique in Laguna beach, and walked down to the beach across the street. He laid out a towel and as I was about to sit down, he told me that we were there to celebrate something else. He brought close to him and got down on one knee and asked “will you marry me?” I stood there shocked not know what to do with myself and finally said “yes!”. We went back to the restaurant and both of our families were at a table waiting for us. I was shocked to see that my brother had driven home from college from San Diego and my sister had flown home from college in Idaho. I couldn’t of asked for anything better!"

What made you choose Marbella Country Club?

"When I first visited Marbella, I instantly pictured myself getting there and didn’t want to visit any other venues. The background and the setting was a picture perfect place to get married!"

Were there any wedding day challenges?

"Surprisingly, I was calm the day of the wedding and enjoyed every moment. As for planning, I was very lucky to have my mom and her friends who are wedding coordinators/planners help organize my wedding. They were my three wedding godmothers!"

What were your ceremony & reception highlights?

"My favorite moment of the ceremony was walking aisle with my dad, and looking forward at my future. I loved our “first kiss” as husband and wife.

My favorite reception moment was when my dad and I broke out into a dance “fireball” by pitbull. The bartender at our wedding was incredible, very friendly with the guests and made the bar area a fun place to hang out as well!"
