I trust you had blessed Thanksgiving celebration and enjoyed your family and friends.

We do not celebrate Thanksgiving in Tanzania.

As we approach the Christmas season, I would like to take this opportunity to reflect on the gift of God. Always I thank God f0r the wonderful gift He gave us - the greatest gift of all - His only begotten son. What a gift, we cannot thank Him enough.

Because of that gift, people from different nations and races are all one in Him. I encourage you as you celebrate Christmas to continue to reflect on His love. We are all one big family all around the world.

I thank all of you who have supported this work in one way or another in 2017, be it financially, with prayers, by visiting, or sharing with friends about this work - we have a part in what God is doing.

Let us continue to partner together for the Kingdom in 2018. Happy New Year.

It is my prayer that the new year will bring happiness and that the Grace of our Lord will continue to be upon you.

THANKS, AND WE STILL NEED YOUR HELP. Dear friends, we shared in our last issue of our newsletter about the pressing need of school staff salaries, that because of reasons we mentioned, we have been behind in paying salaries. We thank those of you who responded and sent in one-time gifts towards helping with that need. Your support has been helpful.

Kindly allow me to share that still we need your help, as the gift we received helped to pay part of the debt, but we have not finished.

I will be grateful for remembering us with your gift as you consider your Christmas and year end giving to help us finish the year without a debt. It is my heart’s desire that we finish this year without debt. Your gift will enable teachers and their families to celebrate Christmas more joyfully.

God bless you as you continue to stand with us as we continue to help our kids.

PASTOR ERIC VISIT TO VILLAGE BRANCH CHURCHES. In the month of November pastor Eric did visit to strengthen branch churches in the regional of Morogoro. First, he started with a leadership seminar for Maranatha pastors from Dare S Salaam, Morogoro Coast regionals. This was a wonderful time of teachings and fellowship with pastors. Pastor Eric taught the importance of pastors spending time in prayer and in the word of God. Pastor John taught about leadership. The seminar was helpful to pastors.

After the seminar pastor Eric visited several branch churches within the Morogoro region.

He started in Turiani which is a small town and is the home of small farmers (peasants). It is also the home of a sugar factory which brings people from different tribes to work at the factory. This gives the church an opportunity to reach those people. Turiani branch church it is a startup church with a few people who worship in a temporary building, but they still have a zeal for the Lord and the desire to reach people for Christ.

KILOMBERO CHURCH.

SCHOOL UPDATE

After the visit to Turiani church, Pastor Eric visited Kiberege village branch church which it is in Kilombero, Ifakara district, almost five hours drive from Morogoro. This village as well it is the home of small farmers (peasants).

Kiberege branch church it is a startup church as well with a few people worshiping in a temporary building. It is amazing to see how they worship the Lord with all their hearts and with a small local drum.

Pastor Eric’s visit to those churches strengthened the churches, whereby he preached in their services and he encouraged them to continue to save for the Lord and to share the Gospel without being hindered by the lack of resources they have, trusting the Lord for open doors and depending on the power of Holy Spirit.

GRADUATION CEREMONY. In October we had graduation ceremonies for both elementary school and high school. In Tanzania students graduate from elementary school and for some, they continue with high school. Sadly, some students do not continue with high school as they do not get selected to continue or some parents cannot afford to take them to private high school.

The graduating students sang songs and performed plays, showing their talents in singing and their dreams for future careers, there was interest in being doctors, pastors, teachers etc. The remaining students said goodbye to their fellow students with songs and poems. For elementary school this was our tenth graduating class, so far 248 students have graduated from our elementary school. Some of the students are in the university, colleges, junior collages, or advanced level studies. We pray that those students will continue to excel in their chosen fields.

HIGH SCHOOL AWARDED CERTIFICATE OF GOOD PERFOMANCE. Our school was given a certificate of recognition for being one of the three best schools in pre-final examination for 12th grade in Arusha among the private schools in Arusha.

This is a great achievement by the grace of God. As a friend and a supporter, you have helped us to get this achievement.

TWO TEACHERS AWARDED CERTIFICATE OF BEST PERFOMANCE. Two of our high school teachers, one who teaches chemistry and one who teaches commerce were given a certificate to recognize them as best performers during 12th grade pre-national examination. The certificates were awarded by the Arusha city council.

FOR HIGH SCHOOL this was first ever graduating class. It was a colorful day with tears of joy from Pastor Eric, the students and the school staff. High school students sat for their final national examinations and finished on November 7th. Please pray that they will have good results and can continue with further studies‌The students will wait for five months before the examinational result comes out.

We see our dream and vision coming true of preparing future leaders who are God-fearing.

You have been a part of this dream come true as you have stood with us in prayers and with financial support.

PRAISE REPORT We praise God for our elementary School students who sat for and all passed their final national examination. Our school was 501 out of 6839 schools nation-wide from schools with under 40 students. We praise God for our teachers as they did their best to prepare the students.

PRAYER NEEDS 1. Pray for the Lord to guide and direct us as we enter the new year.

2. Pray for God’s provision for the branch churches.

3. Pray for more students to join our high school.

4. Pray for God’s provision for the needs of the elementary school and high school.

5. Pray for full consideration to support this work.

6. Pray that the Lord will continue to strengthen Pastor Eric as he leads this growing work, pray for all the pastors and staff who are working with him.

7. Pray for more harvest for the Lord.

8. Pray for God to send us needed volunteers for the elementary school, secondary school, and all the other ministries.

SHORT TERM MISSION TRIPS AND OTHER VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES We invite individuals, church teams, youth groups and anyone interested to come for a short mission trip. We also welcome those who would like to volunteer for a minimum of a month or longer.
