·GRADES 9-12·
High school is a pivotal time for spiritual growth, academic achievement, and personal development. At Maranatha Christian High School, we prepare students for life beyond secondary education by providing a Christ-centered, rigorous learning environment that challenges and encourages them. Our students develop strong communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills while exploring their creative potential through a variety of co-curricular activities. More importantly, they graduate as well-rounded individuals, equipped with both a strong faith foundation and the academic excellence needed for the transition to higher education.
MCHS offers a comprehensive, college-preparatory curriculum designed to prepare students for success at top universities. Our academic program includes multiple Honors level courses and Advanced Placement (AP) courses, allowing students to engage in challenging coursework that strengthens their college readiness. A significant 77% of our AP students earned college credit or satisfied collegiate prerequisite requirements through their exam performance. With small class sizes and a low student to teacher ratio, our students benefit from individualized instruction and meaningful teacher mentorship in a Christ-centered setting.
At MCHS we are devoted to developing scholars and servant leaders who will impact the world for Christ, equipped with wisdom, integrity, and excellence in all they do.

“MCS creates a strong sense of belonging by providing a safe learning environment where students can discover and explore their God-given talents. Students feel valued, appreciated, respected, and loved by the teachers and staff, and that makes all the difference in the world.”
- Mr. Pete Plotnik MCS High School Principal
Building Deeper Relationships
To foster personal growth and spiritual development, we pair small groups of students with Spirit-filled staff members who provide discipleship and mentorship. Small groups serve as a space for intentional care, where each student is prayed for, prayed with, encouraged, and deeply loved. Our dedicated staff builds meaningful relationships, walking alongside students in their faith journey and guiding them through these transformative years.
At the start of each school year, our High School dedicates a few days to come together as a community and establish a strong spiritual foundation for the months ahead. During this time, we welcome guest speakers to share powerful testimonies, engage in worship, and participate in team-building activities. This special tradition allows freshmen to connect with upperclassmen and faculty while fostering unity within our school family.
Serving Our Community and the World
At MCHS, community service gives students the opportunity to model Christ-like behavior by serving others and experiencing the blessings that come from giving in the name of Jesus. We encourage students to develop a heart of servant leadership, inspiring a lifelong commitment to serving Christ while impacting our community and the world.
Co-curricular Activities for Student Success
We believe that academic and social success is essential to college preparedness, so we encourage all of our students to participate in a variety of co-curricular activities to enhance their educational experience. We offer a variety of clubs such as:

Maranatha Christian Junior High School provides a dynamic learning environment that is both academically challenging and spiritually enriching. We encourage Junior High students to discover their unique God-given gifts and talents while being inspired intellectually, creatively, and spiritually. Our goal is to provide a comprehensive academic program that fosters a love for learning and challenges students in Bible, social studies, science, technology, art, and math. Through these courses and experiences, we equip students with the skills and knowledge needed for a strong start to their High School journey.
At MCJHS, students are welcomed into a house system that fosters connection, community, and friendly competition throughout their Junior High years. Each student is placed into one of four houses (House of Lewis, House of Graham, House of Elliot, or House of Wilberforce) each named after heroes of the faith who exemplify what it means to be Loyal to the Royal. Houses meet weekly for devotional time and build a sense of camaraderie, encouragement, and spiritual growth. Students also engage in friendly house competitions, with the top house at the end of the school year earning the coveted House Pennant and being honored at the annual Pennant Party.

Pastor Ray Bentley lived by these words. It was his personal mission statement and the guiding vision for Maranatha Chapel. His love for the Lord and for the people he served was evident every day in his actions, leadership, ministry, and the way he cared for his family, friends, and the community.
In 1984, Ray founded Maranatha Chapel. What began as a small weekly Bible study of just 30 people grew into a vibrant church community of nearly 7,000. Through every season of growth, Ray remained committed to teaching the Bible with a consistent emphasis on God’s grace. He also carried a bold, God-given vision of creating a thriving Christian school that would bless families both near and far. His heart longed to equip young men and women for the calling God would one day place on their lives.
In 1991, Ray founded Maranatha Christian Schools, with a mission to transform lives that would one day transform the world. Initially offering only preschool education, MCS has grown to serve over 1,000 students, with programs currently spanning from Early Education through 12th grade. For more than three decades, Maranatha Christian Schools has continued to grow its roots deeper, wider, and stronger with God's continued guidance and the ongoing watering of His Spirit.

Senior Pastor at Maranatha Chapel and MCS School Board President
Daniel Bentley, who now leads and serves as the Senior Pastor of Maranatha Chapel and MCS School Board President, has taken hold of the mission Transformed Lives... Transforming the World just as passionately as his father did. He continues to water the roots of his earthly and heavenly fathers’ ministries. Daniel graduated from Calvary Chapel Bible College and has over 20 years of pastoral experience. Together with his wife Jill, they have four children who currently attend MCS or have graduated from MCS.
