HYBRID MIXED HOUSING

DOUBLE FACADE STRATERGIES

INTERWOVEN

A MIXED USE BUILDING FOR SENIOR LIVING, FAMILY HOUSING AND VISITING NURSING UNITS. WITH A COMMUNITY CENTER INCLUDING MIND AND BODY ASSISTING FACILITIES, CHILDREN PLAY SPACE AND GARDENS. THE BUILDING FLOOR LOWER PART MATCHES THE HIGHT OF JEFFERSON PARK- CHICAGO SKYLINE, ELEVATED FROM THE GROUND TO LOOK LIKE ITS HOVERING TO ALLOW A WALKABLE, ENJOYABLE SPACE FOR THE PARK COMMUNITY TO BLEED INTO THE PLAZA AND CENTER WITH ENTRANCE FROM THE WEST SIDE , WHILE THE TOWER ENTRANCE IS SEPARATED ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE TO PROTECT THE PRIVACY OF RESIDENCE. ALTERNATING FLOOR PLAN BETWEEN THE THREE OF LIVING SPACES AND GARDEN POCKETS FOR NATURE ACCESSIBILITY WITH IN THE HEIGHT OF THE OF THE TOWER. DOUBLE FACADE THERMAL AND WEATHER INTERACTIVE TECHNOLOGIES ARE IMPLEMENTED WITHIN THE 8’ POCKET SPAN, WITH A BALCONY LIKE ACCESSIBILITY IN SOME FLOORS AND SPACES. ALLOWING MAXIMUM USE OF FLOOR PLAN AND ESCAPING BUILDING LIMITATION WITHIN THE PARAMETERS OF THE OUTER POCKET. THIS BUILDING IS FOR COMMUNITY HEALTH ENCOURAGEMENT AND BUILDING CONNECTION

COMPETITION BY BUILDNER, THE PURPOSE OF THE MUSEUM OF EMOTIONS / EDITION #3 IS TO USE ARCHITECTURE AS THE PRIMARY TOOL TO CREATE EMOTIONAL STATES THROUGH CONSIDERATION OF THE SCALES OF THE SPACES, THE JOURNEY THROUGH THE SPACE, COLOR, LIGHTING, AND MATERIAL CHOICE. RENDERED THE OPPOSITE EMOTIONS OF FEAR AND SERENITY IN THIS PROJECT.

Application and Extension of Auaa’s Work

Urban interventions: Modern projects are adapting Auaa’s thematic content for urban interventions. These interventions aim to celebrate and perpetuate his style and the deeper dark affinities he explores.

Championing dark affinities: Both Auaa and the ongoing projects not only explore but champion the theme of dark affinities, keeping the narrative alive and evolving within the cultural and urban context.

Conclusion:

By reiterating the impact of Auaa on contemporary culture and urban design, encouraging a deeper appreciation and understanding of the role of dark affinities in shaping art and storytelling within the Japanese context. We also touched upon how these themes are being carried forward into new realms such as urban planning and architecture.

PROGRESSION DISSECTION

THE IDEA OF THE PROJECT COMES IN LAYERS AND IT FOLLOWS THE PROGRAM, 3 LEVELS OF ANTICIPATING FASHION SCENE

1. UNDERGROUND STRUCTURE: CREATE.

DIGGING IN THE UNDERGROUND STRUCTURE AND EXPOSING THE UNDER LAYER TO THE OMOTOSONDO TRAIN STATION NORTH-WEST ENTRANCE CONNECTION FROM THE TRAIN STATION TO THE LOWER LEVEL OF THE STRUCTURE. PROGRAM WISE THIS IS THE SPACE TO HAVE WORKSHOPS, COLLECTIVE IDEA, CLOTHES ENHANCEMENT AND CREATION SPOT. IT IS WHERE THE PRODUCTION OF CREATIVITY, AND FIXING SPACE HAPPENS.

2. GROUND LEVEL STAGE.

UPPER LEVEL WILL HAVE A THIN OPEN STRUCTURE THAT LEANS ON A WALL FOR STRUCTURAL STABILITY, MADE TO BE VULNERABLE AND TRANSPARENT IT ALLOWS THE PUBLIC STREET STRATA TO GAZE INTO THE HAPPENING INSIDE OF THE SPACE INSIDE. ON THE CONTRARIETY SIDE THERE IS A MYSTERY OF THE ENTRANCE.

3. UPPER LEVEL RETREAT.

DESIGNED MAKE YOU WONDER, THE UPPER STRUCTURE ALLOWS AN OPEN SPACE THAT LOOKS WITHIN AND OUTSIDE OF THE BUILDING TO REFLECT ON THE HAPPENING OF THE SPACE. AND HAVE AND BIRD EYE VIEW ON THE PROCESS AND JOURNEY.

UNDERGROUND GALLERY

A GALLERY THAT EXISTS UNDERGROUND WHERE VISITORS WILL DEASSEND INTO AN IMMERSIVE WHIMSICAL EXPERIENCE WHERE ART IS TEMPORARILY DISPLAYED, AND DONE BY VISITING ARTISTS WHO WILL BE STAYING IN A 1800N CHICAGO COTTAGE HOUSE THAT WAS PURCHASED BY THE GALLERY

5. STAR GAZER

1.FABRICS STUDYING THE FABRIC OF CHINA TOWN-SINGAPORE AND SPECIFICALLY THE UNITS THAT ARE MADE HISTORICALLY TO HOUSE A SINGLE FAMILY ON THE TOP FLOOR, RUN A SHOP ON THE FIRST FLOOR AND ONLY HAVING A SINGLE OPENING FROM ABOVE AS AN ARCHITECTURAL OPENING- WINDOW-. WITH THE HOUSES STACKED AS A UNIFIED FORM IT CREATED A CONTESTANT FABRIC RUN ALONG HALF A KILOMETER IN DIAMETER.

2. ARCHETYPES GOING FROM THERE EXPLORING DIFFERENT ARCHETYPES SUCH AS A WALL, TOWER, AND A BRIDGE WITH THE CONTEXT OF EXPERIMENTING DIFFERENT WEIGHTS AND TEXTURES TO BUILD THESE ARCHETYPES.

PHASE 3.HYBRID THE ACT OF HYBRIDIZING TWO ARCHETYPES MADE OF TWO DIFFERENT MATERIALS, BRIDGE + TOWER IN THE CONTEXT OF PLANNING IN THE SITES.
