LEGAL SERVICES
Our long-standing ETF Team is comprised of leading lawyers and experienced industry professionals with a wealth of experience in advising clients on regulatory requirements and how to manage regulatory risk within their business.
We deliver practical, solution-focused and expert advice on the impact of developments at Irish, Luxembourg and European level as well as providing guidance on all legal, technical, operational and regulatory matters in relation to the establishment and on-going obligations for ETFs. We support our clients in dealing with the home regulator in a constructive and pro-active manner.
Given the depth of our knowledge and market share, we are well placed to support existing clients and those market entrants around the establishment and maintenance of ETFs, the implications of the current changes to ETFs and on the trends and areas of interest in the broader ETF market generally.
We have the unique experience of having led on the first European conversion of a mutual fund to an ETF. This required integration of the necessary elements of the ETF ecosystem into a previously existing mutual fund context.

We proactively participate in industry developments on ETF matters through our roles on the EFAMA ETF Working Group and the Irish Funds ETF Working Group, and through our membership of the Leadership Committee of the Irish chapter of Women in ETFs driving innovation and regulatory change.
REGISTRATION OF ETFs
Our Global Registration Services (“GRS“) Team supports our UCITS and UCITS ETFs clients (domiciled in Ireland and Luxembourg) by providing a full range of services, from market entry to on-going maintenance and compliance.
Our team provides support and assistance to managers looking to sell their UCITS ETFs in foreign markets. Our experience covers in excess of 80 countries across Europe, Asia Pacific and other EMEA countries.
We offer our clients a range of services addressing regulatory aspects to help optimise
fund distribution activities globally. We believe that by having a dedicated team solely focused on registration business, coupled with our experience in dealing with a broad range of local services, we provide the best service to our clients and can proactively identify areas where economies of scale can be achieved.

LISTING OF ETFs
Our team offers a fully integrated and seamless service for our clients, centrally managing all aspects of the listing process for UCITS ETFs across multiple jurisdictions. We provide expert advice and management of local and overseas stock exchange listings, managing the listing process from start to finish.
Since beginning operations in Dublin in 2006, Maples has been one of the primary listing sponsors in the Irish market. Maples began listing UCITS ETFs in 2008 and we have experience in the listing of ETFs on all major global stock exchanges such as Euronext Amsterdam, Euronext Dublin, Euronext Paris, Euronext Lisbon, Euronext Brussels, Deutsche Boerse and Borsa Italiana. Maples also assists with the admission of ETFs to trading on the London Stock Exchange and are approved as a Recognised Representative for ETF listings on SIX.
