2025 Corporate Social Responsibility Report

We are delighted to share our Cayman Islands 2025 Corporate Social Responsibility (“CSR”) Report. We want to have meaningful impacts for our clients, our employees, our community and our environment. This report provides an overview of our charitable giving, sponsorship, scholarship and other CSR activities in the Cayman Islands for the completed 2024 calendar year.

MAPLES GROUP IN THE COMMUNITY
We are dedicated to being an active and engaged member of the Cayman Islands community.
Our annual Cayman Islands CSR Report highlights our charitable activities and donations within the Cayman Islands community and the educational and career advancement opportunities we provide to Caymanians.
Through this report, we hope to also raise awareness of the important work of the charities and organisations we chose to support this year, how we collaborated and interacted with our local community and the meaningful impact we strive to achieve.
As a dedicated corporate citizen, we are committed to supporting the local community. We believe that, through strong values, altruism and compassion, we can make a significant difference and encourage others to do the same.
Through our long-standing sponsorship programmes, funding and volunteer initiatives, we support local causes and organisations that focus on the development, improvement and benefit of the following six pillars.

INFLUENCING THE NEXT GENERATION
As one of the largest employers in the Cayman Islands and the leading entity in financial services, we are dedicated to fostering a work environment where both current and future team members can learn, thrive and excel.
We are proud to have a local workforce of 67% Caymanians and are deeply committed to investing in the growth of their professional careers and in the up-and-coming generation.
Our scholarship, articles of clerkship and internship programmes are tailored to attract the most outstanding and driven students, to ensure they have the support and opportunities needed to succeed and to cultivate exciting and rewarding professional careers.
Scholarships
Established in 1994, our Scholarship Programme has awarded over 140 scholarships, both legal and non-legal, amounting to a total of US$7.55 million. These scholarships have supported Caymanian students in pursuing degrees across various fields of study by helping to offset the costs of tuition, accommodation and study materials.
For the 2024 academic year, we were delighted to grant four legal scholarships and an additional four non-legal scholarships. This year, the total funds allocated for all scholarships amounts to US$550,000.
Many recall their university experience as their most formative years, and I can truly attest to the significant positive impact that studying abroad in Europe and Asia has had on my development. This opportunity would not have been possible without the Maples Group and their scholarship assured me that it is possible for my dreams to be achieved.

Studying: Urban Planning

As a law student, you are constantly juggling numerous responsibilities. With the support of the Maples Group scholarship, I was able to alleviate the financial burden of law school and dedicate my full attention to my education, ensuring that I excel in my studies.

Matthew Gardner, Managing Partner (L), alongside newly admitted Associates Alice Narborough, April Ebanks, Brittany Cousins and Dane Muspratt.
Articles of Clerkship
Our Articles of Clerkship Programme offers law graduates the unique opportunity to train and qualify as Attorneys-at-Law in the Cayman Islands, eliminating the need to train in the UK or other jurisdictions.
Three Articled Clerks were admitted as Attorneys-atLaw in 2024: Alice Narborough, Brittany Cousins and Dane Muspratt.
Since the inception of the programme in 2005, we have proudly supported 60 Caymanians in their journey to becoming qualified Attorneys-at-Law, and we take great pride in their accomplishments.
As an Articled Clerk, I was immersed in a variety of legal tasks that provided a real-world understanding of the intricacies involved in the legal field. This hands-on experience was pivotal in translating my academic knowledge into practical skills.

Brittany Cousins
Admitted as an Attorney-at-Law in the Cayman Islands in 2024
Secondments
As a global organisation, we provide our team members with an opportunity to collaborate with industry leaders across multiple jurisdictions through our Secondment Programme. This experience not only broadens their professional network and helps them achieve their career aspirations, but also fosters the development of a global perspective.
Our Secondment Programme is available at all levels of employment within our Group, reflecting our commitment to investing in the training and development of our people. This initiative is just one of the many benefits of being part of a truly international organisation dedicated to nurturing the growth and success of its team members.
Internships
Each year, we invite young Caymanians who are either in their final years of secondary education or beginning their tertiary education to join us for summer internships. Our Internship Programme is designed to provide practical experience and professional growth, helping students to build a strong foundation for their future careers.
Since the inception of our Internship Programme in 2008, we have welcomed over 450 Caymanian students to work within our diverse practice groups and business teams, offering them a valuable chance to enhance their skills and solidify their interest in any of the fields we support, including law, fiduciary services, fund administration, accounting, marketing, compliance, information technology, office administration, human resources and information services.

Over 450 young students have participated in our Internship Programme since 2008.

The arts serve as a crucial outlet for expression, inspiration and personal growth in the Cayman Islands.
ARTS & CULTURE
Our culture's rich, creative tapestry of heritage forms the very soul of our community. As we recognise that the flourishing of the arts depends heavily on continuous community support, we are dedicated to supporting the preservation of cultural practices and the work of local artists in the Cayman Islands. This commitment ensures that current and future generations can enjoy and learn from artefacts that represent their cultural identity for many years to come.
We foster opportunities in the arts and culture that:
• Promote Cultural Development and Preservation: Encouraging the positive development and preservation of culture in the Cayman Islands.
• Unite the Community: Bringing together community members in a positive and inclusive way.
• Showcase Diverse Talents: Supporting and shares the talents of diverse groups within the community.
• Enrich Individual Artists: Encouraging the development and growth of individual artists.
• Enhance Cultural Appreciation: Providing the public with a deeper appreciation of the various cultural perspectives that surround them.
National Gallery of the Cayman Islands
The outreach programmes of the National Gallery of the Cayman Islands (“NGCI”) aim to engage with our diverse community, including individuals who are often excluded from mainstream social experiences, education and employment opportunities.
For the third consecutive year, we were proud to be the title sponsor of NGCI’s outreach programme, Community Connections, which was developed to address a significant need within our community. The programme strengthens bonds by providing individuals and groups, who might not otherwise have access, with the opportunity to learn more about local culture and heritage and it offers a creative outlet for self-expression.
The 2024 workshops offered both therapeutic and skill-development approaches to visual arts and covered a range of activities like colour mixing, kinaesthetic painting, ceramics, landscape painting, affirmation lettering and pattern-making.
The programme welcomed clients of the Bonaventure Boys Home, Frances Bodden Children’s Home, Sunrise Adult Training Centre, the Cayman Islands Crisis Centre, one2one, Cayman ARK and the Department of Children & Family Services.
Thanks to the Maples Group’s generous support, the Community Connections programme has continued to grow in popularity and has been extremely well-received. It has allowed us to reach individuals in our community who feel socially marginalised and who benefit from non-verbal modes of emotional expression.

Cayman Drama Society
The Cayman Drama Society (“CDS”) is a vibrant community theatre, committed to providing quality live theatre to educate, enrich and entertain while also providing lifelong learning opportunities and fostering creative expression. We specifically contributed to a new initiative by the CDS, ‘Pay What You Can’, whereby individuals and families who may not typically attend theatre due to personal financial burdens, have the opportunity to experience live performances by paying a nominal fee instead of the full ticket price and any shortage in ticket price is covered through our donation.

Additional Arts & Culture organisations and initiatives supported in 2024
• Cayman Islands Seafarer's Association
• Cayman Islands National Museum
• National Trust for the Cayman Islands (see Environmental pillar)

We believe theatre should be an integral part of our cultural landscape, and the ‘Pay What You Can’ initiative is a key step toward making theatre more inclusive and available to all.

We are deeply committed to investing in our local community, recognising it as both morally important and a catalyst for positive change.
COMMUNITY OUTREACH
Our outreach programme is designed to fortify our bonds with the Cayman Islands community and reflects our dedication to responsible action and the collective well-being of all who live here.
We actively support community initiatives that:
• Create Positive Change: Initiatives that make a meaningful difference in the wider community.
• Foster a Sense of Community: Programmes that bring community members together in a constructive and uplifting manner.
• Promote Personal Development: Opportunities that contribute to the growth and development of our people.
• Enhance the Greater Good: Efforts that benefit the overall welfare of the Cayman Islands.
Cayman Islands Crisis Centre
The Cayman Islands Crisis Centre ("CICC") offers a range of services and programmes specifically designed to support all victims of domestic and sexual abuse.
In 2024, we were delighted to renew our sponsorship of the Jingle Bell Walk / Run, CICC's largest fundraising event, which unites the community in support of a noble cause. The event increased the public's awareness of CICC's cause and raised essential funds for their programme; these funds are used to provide much-needed assistance to those suffering from domestic abuse.
Several of our team members signed up for the run and their registration fees were covered by the Group.
The Jingle Bell Walk / Run is our annual Christmas fundraiser, and we cannot imagine it without the Maples Group and their incredible team! Their donation and participation are deeply appreciated and makes a significant impact on our cause. We are so grateful for their unwavering support and for taking a stand against domestic abuse.
Ania Milanowska Cayman Islands Crisis Centre
The Family Resource Centre
For 25 years, the Family Resource Centre ("FRC") has been at the forefront of celebrating women's accomplishments and addressing gender-specific issues that affect women and girls in the Cayman Islands, particularly through their annual Honouring Women Month, held every March.
The FRC organised several notable activities designed to empower and support women and girls this year, including an International Women's Day fundraiser brunch, a female-owned business pop-up market, a STEM camp for girls and various workshops geared towards the personal and professional development of women and girls.
As a gold sponsor of Honouring Women Month, our donation played a crucial role in supporting these initiatives and helped offset the costs associated with hosting these workshops and events, many of which were free of charge to the public.
We are proud to have contributed to the empowerment and advancement of women and girls in the Cayman Islands.
Kiwanis Club of Grand Cayman
Through our donation to the Kiwanis Club of Grand Cayman, we supported three initiatives that directly impacted the local community. Among them was the Club's Grow Box Project at both the Lighthouse School and Maple House, which has fostered handson, interactive learning through the rewarding process of planting and harvesting fresh produce.
For many participants, particularly among the special needs community, this was a first-time experience and created a sense of pride and accomplishment.

The Bridge Foundation
The Bridge Foundation plays a crucial role in our community by supporting individuals recovering from drug and / or alcohol addiction by providing a sober living environment and access to essential treatment for recovery.
At their sober living home, Anchor House, the Bridge Foundation creates a family-like atmosphere to aid the transition from addiction to sobriety. They offer the necessary support and structure to improve recovery skills, ultimately helping individuals achieve a healthy and independent lifestyle.
The funds donated by the Maples Group helped us sustain the services we provide our residents who are recovering from addiction. Without their ongoing support, our mission would be crippled.

We are dedicated to creating a greener world and proudly support organisations that work to restore, sustain and protect the environment for future generations.
ENVIRONMENT
We proudly support a diverse range of organisations that are at the forefront of environmental restoration, sustainability and protection. These partnerships are crucial in driving forward initiatives that have a tangible impact on the environment. Our support includes initiatives focused on restoring natural habitats and ecosystems that have been degraded or destroyed, promoting practices that reduce environmental impact and foster long-term ecological balance and safeguarding the environment for future generations.
Our support focuses on initiatives that:
• Engage the Community: Unites local community members in the restoration and protection of their natural surroundings.
• Encourage Future-Proofing Initiatives: Supports initiatives such as alternative energy sources that will result in a cleaner, safer and healthier natural environment.
• Foster Environmental Education: Creates awareness around the environmental impact of human activities, improves consumer habits and provides the public with a greater appreciation of the natural world.
• Promote Conservation Efforts: Encourages and financially supports the conservation of native wildlife and critical ecosystems in the Cayman Islands for future generations.
National Trust for the Cayman Islands
The National Trust for the Cayman Islands is the only local organisation committed to the stewardship of undeveloped land with a focus on establishing a system of protected areas in the Cayman Islands.
In 2024, we supported the National Trust's mission to raise funds for its Land Reserve Fund, which is then used to purchase critical natural habitats, including mangrove wetlands, ancient forests and other vital areas across all three Cayman Islands. Much of the land acquired through the Land Reserve Fund is deemed ecologically important and may be under threat of rapid urban development.
Our donation was in support of purchasing land adjacent to the Salina Reserve, one of the National Trust's protected areas where the endemic and endangered Grand Cayman Blue Iguana is released.

By expanding our existing nature reserves, local flora and fauna will continue to be safeguarded and their vital habitats will continue to exist. With the Maples Group's support, we raised a remarkable amount of money to purchase a piece of ecologically sensitive land.

Central Caribbean Marine Institute
The effects of climate change on our coral reefs are becoming increasingly severe, making the efforts of the researchers and educators at the Central Caribbean Marine Institute ("CCMI") more crucial than ever.
In 2024, we renewed our three-year Corporate Navigator partnership with CCMI to support their vital work in understanding coral resilience amidst rapidly changing conditions and enhancing their impact for the future of coral reefs in the Cayman Islands.

Mangrove Education Project
We were delighted to collaborate with the Mangrove Education Project, which aims to educate the broader community about the significance of mangrove ecosystems through a curriculum-based programme. This curriculum is implemented in schools throughout the Cayman Islands and provides comprehensive material on our coastal lagoon ecosystem, featuring interactive science activities and field trips into the mangroves.
In 2024, our support funded the distribution of the programme's Coastal Lagoon Ecosystem Teachers Guide to schools across the Cayman Islands. This extensive 200-page guide includes over 40 activities and supplemental resources focused on promoting mangrove awareness and sustainability.
Thanks to the contribution from the Maples Group, we were able to distribute our guide to every primary school teacher across the Cayman Islands.
Martin Keeley Mangrove Education Project

Our efforts are designed to reach every demographic within our communities, ensuring that no one is left behind in the pursuit of better health.
HEALTHCARE
We believe it is important to raise awareness on the various diseases and health issues within our community. Our commitment is reflected in our sponsorship of organisations that provide counselling, demystify health concerns and promote education on a wide array of health-related topics affecting all demographics.
We support opportunities in the healthcare field that:
• Encourage Health and Well-Being: Programmes that promote and support healthy living and overall well-being for individuals within our community.
• Enhance Patient Care: Opportunities that have a direct and positive impact on patient care, ensuring better health outcomes.
• Raise Awareness and Combat Health Disparities: Initiatives that highlight current health issues, raise awareness and work towards combatting various diseases and health disparities.
Alex Panton Foundation
As dedicated advocates for health, we were honoured to support the Alex Panton Foundation in various capacities throughout 2024. One of our key contributions was sponsoring the annual Youth Mental Health Symposium, which centred on the theme 'Building Bridges: Acceptance, Belonging and the Power of Connection.' Now in its seventh year, the symposium consistently provides a safe environment for young people, parents and local mental health professionals to engage in meaningful discussions on timely mental health issues.

We also sponsored and participated in the Addison Kelly Butterfly 5K, which directly benefits the Addison Kelly Memorial Scholarship for students pursuing further education in mental health. The scholarship is managed by the Alex Panton Foundation.
Breast Cancer Foundation
In addition, we supported the annual Women's Empowerment Brunch, which brings women together from all walks of life to inspire and empower them, and to build and discuss issues affecting women in the Cayman Islands.

As part of our contribution to the Alex Panton Foundation, we supported the Addison Kelly 5K Walk/Run.
It has been an immense honour to be a long-time supporter of the Breast Cancer Foundation's noble mission to provide education, raise awareness and advocate for breast cancer patients. Over the years, our involvement has been multifaceted, encompassing various initiatives aimed at making a tangible difference in the lives of those affected by this disease.
This year, one of the highlights of our support was the sponsorship of the annual Breast Cancer Gala. This prestigious event was not just a fundraiser, but also a heartfelt celebration of the resilience and strength of breast cancer survivors in the Cayman Islands.
The Maples Group's contribution helps us continue to provide life-changing support to individuals and families affected by breast cancer. We are so thankful for the impact they have made in our community.

Cayman Islands Cancer Society
We have also been steadfast supporters of the Cayman Islands Cancer Society (“CICS”) and the STRIDE Against Cancer fundraising walk / run event for many years. Our dedication to these causes reflects our deep commitment to the health and well-being of our community.
Our sponsorship of CICS came at a particularly crucial time as CICS reported a significant increase in requests for financial assistance, which was compounded by escalating medical costs. This increase in demand underscored the importance of our support.
In addition, we expressed an interest in supporting CICS' expanded wellness programme, which would address not only the physical impact of cancer but also the mental strain and stress that often accompanies such a diagnosis. By supporting this comprehensive approach, we helped ensure that patients received holistic care that catered to their overall well-being.
We are honoured to be a legacy sponsor of CICS and to contribute to this commendable cause that affects so many members of our local community. Our involvement has been a source of great pride, and we remain committed to supporting CICS in its mission to provide critical assistance and improve the quality of life for cancer patients and their families.

We
are honoured by the Maples Group's patronage and appreciate the continuous partnership through this great initiative.

We support sports initiatives that:
• Promote a Healthy and Active Lifestyle: Encourage physical activity and well-being through sports.
• Develop the Youth: Help young individuals develop essential qualities, such as focus, confidence, teamwork, commitment and discipline.
• Create an Extracurricular Environment: A safe environment for youth to participate in extracurricular activities, guiding them toward becoming more productive and responsible adults.
Cayman Islands Basketball Association
For the past 16 years, the Cayman Islands Basketball Association has collaborated with the NBA's Orlando Magic team to organise both local and away camps for young basketball enthusiasts.
This year, we funded the participation of two female athletes in the Orlando Magic Summer Basketball Training Camp, which was held in Tampa, Florida. This initiative provided them with a priceless opportunity to refine their skills, learn from seasoned coaches and professional basketball players, and immerse themselves in a positive, team-oriented environment.
This sponsorship not only helped to nurture the next generation of basketball talent but also reinforces the importance of accessible and inclusive sporting opportunities for all young athletes in the Cayman Islands.
FC International
Each summer, the FC International club welcomes dozens of young boys and girls, ranging in age from four to 16 years old, to participate in their highly
anticipated free football camp. This cherished event has been a cornerstone of the Cayman Islands community since its inception in 1994, providing a nurturing environment where young athletes can develop their football skills, make new friends and enjoy the spirit of teamwork and sportsmanship.
This year, we were incredibly proud to announce our involvement as a sponsor of this esteemed camp. Our sponsorship reflects our commitment to supporting youth development through sports and to foster a love for football within the community. By partnering with FC International, we aim to contribute to the camp's continued success and ensure that it remains a valuable and accessible resource for young football enthusiasts in the Cayman Islands.

The award was created in honour of Alicia Thompson, a past pupil of the school herself, who is now an Associate in our Cayman Islands office.
The recipient of the Alicia Thompson Award has generally demonstrated both academic and extracurricular excellence, despite challenging personal circumstances. The award includes an honorary plaque and a Kirk Office gift certificate to purchase school supplies for the upcoming school term.

Congratulations to the 2024 Alicia Thompson Award recipient, Timothy Campbell.
Department of Children & Family Services
In 2015, the Department of Children & Family Services introduced their Put Your Best Foot Forward initiative, aimed at providing school shoes to children in need. Recognising the importance of this cause, we have been proud supporters of the initiative for the past several years.
In 2024, we were delighted to once again support in full the Put Your Best Foot Forward initiative and purchased school shoes for 140 children, ensuring they have the proper footwear to attend school comfortably and confidently.
Truman Bodden Law School
Over the last few years, we have had the distinct honour and privilege to support the Truman Bodden Law School ("TBLS") Student Gala. This prestigious event, organised by the TBLS Student Society, is a demonstration of the TBLS' commitment to fostering academic excellence, supporting student welfare and enhancing the overall educational experience.
Our continued sponsorship reflects our dedication to these values and our belief in the transformative power of education. We are delighted to help support and shape the next generation of legal professionals.
Edna M Moyle Primary School
We are truly grateful for the Maples Group's continued support.
Lois Kellyman Department of Children & Family Services
The Edna M Moyle Primary School identified a need for an upgraded PA system to improve their communication capabilities across the school. Recognising the critical role of this essential infrastructure, we were delighted to step in and replace the outdated system with new, advanced equipment.
This contribution is of great importance as it will now enable the school to communicate efficiently with both students and staff, ensuring that important announcements and emergency information are conveyed promptly and clearly.
CareerMasters
We have been a supporter of CareerMasters since its inception in October 2024. CareerMasters' mission is to empower students between the ages of 15-18 to pre-career opportunities through tailored group projects, strategic mentoring and formal programming.
YMCA Extended After School Programme
As part of the YMCA's Annual Giving Campaign, we made a direct donation to the Extended After School Programme ("EASP"). The EASP promotes youth development by providing a safe environment where children can learn foundational skills, build selfreliance and develop healthy, trusting relationships. The programme offers over 20 extracurricular clubs and serves more than 1,000 students throughout the public primary and secondary schools across Grand Cayman and Cayman Brac.
In addition, we contributed to the programme's 'Spend It Together' evenings, which brought together over 200 parents in Grand Cayman and Cayman Brac, who had the opportunity to learn about social-emotional learning and engage in fun activities with their children.
Code Cayman
Through an active calendar of training events centred on technology, coding and relevant skills within the tech industry, Code Cayman ensures all residents of the Cayman Islands, both adults and youth, have the opportunity to develop tech skills and are well-prepared for the future job market.
We were delighted to support Code Cayman in this mission, enabling them to continue providing these courses to the public free of charge.
