who we are Established in 2004 by Nicholas Hickson and Manuela Mannino, The Hickson Design Partnership is an Architecture and Interior Design practice specialising in Hospitality Design.

Formed in Italy and now in London since 2012, we are international at heart, but locally inspired.

We provide customized solutions for our clients, promoting a progressive lean design approach.

This allows us to be flexible, able to react to the changing the hospitality market.

As we have a collaborative approach to our projects, we strive to eliminate the boundaries between; architect, artist, fabricator, supplier and client.

Our track record of successfully completed hotel projects is a testimony of our work ethics.

professional bios Nicholas Hickson British Furniture, lighting and interior designer, he graduated at the Loughborough College of Art and Design in England in 1984. He worked for over 20 years for high profile interior design projects for international clients and property developers in the areas of Belgravia, Mayfair and Hampstead in London. Creating THDP with his partner Manuela in 2004, Nicholas now has 14 years experience with Hospitality Interior Design.

His diverse contemporary approach to traditional manufacturing ideas, combined with his attention to detail, delivers inspirational client led solutions.

Manuela Mannino Italian Architect, graduated at the Turin Polytechnic in 1993. She has worked in product design, interior refurbishments and conversions for private clients. Working in London since 2000 on residential developments projects for the contract company CP Hart. She brings her contemporary eclectic approach to projects, combining her skills in design conceptualization, the aesthetic link between architectural function and decorative details. Since 2015 Manuela has taught the Hotel Interior Design Short Course at the prestigious Chelsea College of Art in London.
