COURSERATINGREVIEW

Round data that is excluded are those that are played by members of yo club that only ever play at home

Scratch versus Slope

Something that is important to understand is that the only true measure of th difficulty of a golf course is the scratch rating relevant to par, so where a scr rating is higher than the par of the course that means that the course is that strokes harder than par for ALL players – even those off scratch. The Slope r is there to level the playing field for those who are not scratch golfers and th higher the GA handicap the more the player will benefit from the slope rating

The outcome of this review is as follows:

Men

White tees, drop the slope rating from 132 to 130

Blue tees, increase the slope rating from 140 to 141

Gold tees - no changes needed

Women

Red tees, no changes

Gold tees, increase the slope rating from 119 to 122

The Golf Committee has considered the recommendations of Golf NSW and agreed to implement the changes from 1 October. st
