I grew up talking to the world in visual signs by putting life in my thoughts through the magic of my art. Hi! my name is Mankirat Kaur, I am a fashion and design graduate from Chandigarh University, holding a specialization in graphic design from Calarts (Coursera) , and currently enrolled in a post-graduate diploma in design thinking at SCDL, Pune, India. Purpose & Background: This collection is inspired from technical advancements & modernisation. Today, due to easy access to mobile phones and interent people have become addicted due to which they appear very lazy, sick. To showcase today’s woman I have taken zombie look but with cool casual outfits together with usage of denim’s fabric to achieve that look.

Moreover it’s astonishing that even after growing in the dirtiest surroundings, lotus turns into one of the most attractive flowers in the world. Today when the world of fashion is striving with the obligations of sustainability the lotus plant stands at the utmost height reflecting to all the solutions to this problem.

CONCLUSION
There are many things that are need to be changed in this world. Synthetic fibers should be questioned again, Why it is necessary to use them even after knowing there outcomes or effects on human body and health? Poverty, misery and accidents! All are the outcomes of treacherous policies of some selfish human beings due to which labor had to suffer a lot in past. Lotus is the answer to all the sufferings of peo ple. In countries like India, Vietnam, Indonesia where poverty is growing day by day due to dominance of capitalist society, lotus textile industry can do a lot of contribution in collapse of this unchangeable phenomena. The steady lotus can not only give us motivation but also fabric which is worth to wear for every human being. Lotus is a step towards better future, cruelty free society and prosperous world!
PROPERTIES
Whole Lotus flower is edible and is used in plethora of pur poses. Furthermore, its seeds are used to prepare soups and sauces, along with that the petals are used to make seasonings while stems are added in salads and also many heart, kidney and blood pressure diseases are cured by the medications made from lotus parts. Keeping everything aside, Lotus stems are also used to prepare fabric which is 100% organic and eco-friendly.
CONTRIBUTION IN LUXURY INDUSTRY
• Has high spiritual background.
Due to various properties lotus itself is an extraordinary flower which is hence used in many fashion companies for creating breathtaking and amazing dresses. “Loro Piana” a luxury brand under LVMH is the first western company creating lotus fabric garments for a very limited number of important clients. They believe that lotus is one of the finest textile in the world because it’s not only lightweight but also crease resistant, breathable and appears similar to antique linen and silk. Loro Piana has took an initiative to keep the ancient legacy of lotus fabric protected so that the people can understand the value of lotus fabric and the company is also trying for regular collaborations with the local commu nity of Myanmar so that the culture, working techniques and other practices of local people could not be hindered by the outer sources.
