The Fashion Design Council Of India (FDCI) through its flagship event - The India Couture Week, celebrates the cultural diversity of a country which has been a beacon of light for it's craftsmanship, ingenious textiles, and an array of rich embroideries and technique. Model Lakshmi Rana looked stunning in swathes of fabric in multiple hues of red, maroon and brown.

Contemporary tailoring and intricacy in the ensemble which brought some interesting cultural influences which enthralled the audiences. Intricate motifs on clothes in shades of maroon, green, emerald and azure blue captivated the audiences to no end. Handwoven embroidery in sheer lehengas also captured the interest of audiences well.

An interesting aspect of Malhotra’s couture were his blouse designs. They were unusual and the cut and style was quite unique to the theme with mostly off shoulder blouses, and high neck ones. Though most of the collection was in hues of the earthy colours of brown, maroon and red, there were also a couple of pieces in shades of blue. Dazzled and enraptured, the audience was spellbound by the couture line.
