It isn’t a wonder that Indian food has managed to get a spot on the “Most Wanted” list of cuisines around the world. Indian cuisine, per say, is a misnomer, considering that not just the state, but the language, style & customs change every few hundred kilometres or less.
Indian Cuisine made its first impression into the international picture in the 1800s when the British took back their adopted practices to England. It is said that so impressed was the Queen of England with the Indian curries that she ordered curries to be made every day in the royal kitchen. Today, there are more than 10,000 establishments in England that serve Indian dishes and in 2001, Chicken Tikka Masala became the national dish of England.
