The Japanese manga series Record of Ragnarok, also known as Shmatsu no Warukyre or "Doomsday Valkyrie," was created by Shinya Umemura and Takumi Fukui and was illustrated by Ajichika. It started in the seinen manga magazine Monthly Comic Zenon from Coamix, which was once also distributed by Tokuma Shoten, in November 2017. Throughout June 2021, Viz Media granted a license to use it in North America. The original net animation (ONA) version of the manga was created by Graphinica and debuted on Netflix in June 2021. In January 2023, Graphinica and Yumeta Company will debut their second season. The plot starts when the gods have a meeting to determine whether to allow humanity to exist or die, and they opt to eradicate it. A lone Valkyrie proposes, however, that humanity and the gods engage in one final conflict in an effort to ensure humanity's survival. 13 gods and 13 human champions will engage in one-on-one combat to determine whether humanity survives.
