About David David Brooke graduated in 1996 with a Degree in Psychology and joined Nestle UK as graduate trainee. David worked rapidly up through the organisation taking on a number of European management roles before becoming the company's youngest Global Manager in 2002. Involved in a number of business critical global management projects and negotiations, David spent much of his time in Eastern Europe and the Far East. It was during this time that he witnessed at first hand the bespoke tailoring capabilities of China and Thailand as well as the manufacturing skills of Eastern Europe. David left Nestle in 2004 to set up Mathieson & Brooke Tailors Ltd. Since his university training, David had always been aware of the importance of body language and appearance in business. His recent research with the University of Hertfordshire into appearance has been published in journals and national newspapers. "Our ground breaking research with the University of Hertfordshire has shown that you are twice as likely to be perceived as more confident and successful if you wear a tailored suit" explains David. “Businessman underestimate the role that their attire plays when trying to influence people and this often forms the starting point of my design process”. As well as running Mathieson & Brooke Tailors Ltd David also manages the largest online tailoring directory TheTailoringDirectory.com and a global bespoke tailoring networking group with over 1100 members. In his spare time David DJ’s under the name ‘Disco Dave’ and follows Arsenal.
