Annexure – B Guidelines for Submission of Short Synopsis The Short Synopsis should broadly indicate the area to be covered, objectives to be achieved and the proposed methodology. In general, the following should be the sequence of Short Synopsis:-

1. Cover Page 2. Certificate 3. Abstract 4. Contents 5. Introduction 6. Literature Review 7. Description of Topic 8. Objectives of Research 9. Methodology to be adopted 10. Proposed/expected outcome of the research 11. References

The Short Synopsis should typically be 15 to 20 pages (excluding title page and references). It should be neatly typed on both sides of the paper in Times New Roman Font of size 12 with 1.5 line spacing. The general guidelines are as follows:

1. Synopsis must be unambiguous. Synopsis must be as approved by DRC on the recommendation of Supervisor/Co-Supervisor. The title must reflect the research work to be carried out. 2. There must be an abstract of 200-250 words with 5-6 keywords. 3. The objectives and methodology of the research should be stated in point wise. 4. The entire text should be grammatical correct and must be at a reasonable language level. 5. The Synopsis must clearly mention the proposed/expected outcomes of the research.


6. Synopsis must be accompanied with a Certificate duly signed by Supervisor, cosupervisor and countersigned by Chairman, DRC. 7. Matter must not be copied from web sourses, it must be typed. Plagiarism Certificate Attached at the end with signature of Librarian (with seal). Research scholar and supervisor(s) should also sign the plagiarism report as per University plagiarism policy

Points for consideration for submission of Short Synopsis/ Research Proposal -

Please submit three hard copies along with soft copy of Short Synopsis.
