Teen Beginner Swim Lessons (Ages 12-17) Never had formal swim lessons? Not comfortable in the water? Why not have fun learning with a group of your peers? There is no time like the present! Adapted Aquatics (Ages 5-18) We have designed a swimming program for individuals with disabilities to be able to learn water safety, swim techniques, and to feel comfortable in the water. Each participant must have an aide (or parent) in the water during the lesson. Aides provided at no additional charge if arranged with the Aquatics Manager in advance. American Red Cross Lifeguard Course Must be at least 15 years old by last class. Participants must complete the online portion of the course prior to the first day of the class in order to participate. The online portion of the course can be accessed at: mpdpr.com/arc20. Prerequisites include swimming 300m, treading water for 1 minute without using arms, and a timed event. Upon completion of the course, participants will be certified in American Red Cross Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED for Lifeguards. Certification is valid for two years.
