2019-2020 Extended Care Extended Care follows the licensing standards of the State of Virginia, Department of Social Services. Our Before and After school care is for children in Kindergarten through 5th grade attending City of Manassas Park Schools. We offer themed activities, which include arts and crafts, games, sports, and swimming in a fun, supervised environment! At no additional cost, teacher work days, school breaks, and some holidays are covered by full day care from 6:00am-7:00pm. Call for Punch Card/drop-in rates. (PM Punch Cards cover full service days.) Parents must: • Submit a completed “Payment Selection” form to the Front Desk or email to contact listed on form. (Form can be found at http://www. mpdpr.com/extcare) • Pay a $60 non-refundable annual registration fee per child. • Complete online registration form. An invitation for online registration will be emailed to you. You will need a copy of your child’s birth certificate during online registration. Physical and vaccine records will be requested from the schools. • Attend a mandatory orientation (only for new registrations). ◊WCRB Youth Mixed Martial Arts◊ (Ages 6-13) WCRB’s Youth MMA Class is for students with or without prior training. With emphasis on courtesy, discipline, and respect, students will learn a mixture of several different art forms. This youth MMA program is combined with WCRB’s Academic Excellence program to maximize your child’s learning experience. This is a whiteto-black belt course with testing two to four times a year. $50/month for one class a week; $80/month for two classes a week; $100/month for three or more class week. ◊WCRB Ninja Warriors◊ (Ages 6-13) WCRB’s Ninja Warrior class is for junior ninjas in training! With emphasis on courtesy, discipline and respect, students will work on balance, flexibility, ninja defensive tools, techniques, and WCRB Karate. This fun-filled and fast-paced class also helps develop handeye coordination and spatial awareness using nunchakus and other child safe weapons. This is a white-to-black belt with testing two to four times a year. $50/month for one class a week; $80/month for two classes a week; $100/month for three or more classes a week. ◊Check Mate Chess Club◊ (Ages 6-11) Chess is a game that requires strategy, patience, and practice. Students will use small tools such as hot glue, exactor knives, drills, and more. $35/M; $40/R; $45/NR DAY TIME DATE Sa 1:30pm-3:30pm 3/7-3/28 ◊Kids Cupcake and Cookie Decorating Demo◊ (Ages 5-12) In this class, participants will learn how to make and color buttercream frosting and how to fill a piping bag. ◊MPCC Basketball Shooting Clinic◊ (Ages 8-11) A simple and powerful way to learn how shooting. This clinic will help your athlete improve their accuracy, consistency, and repeatability- the components of great shooting! ◊Youth Beginner Lacrosse Clinic◊ (Ages 7-12) MPCC was awarded a grant by US Lacrosse, providing sticks, balls, goals, and free Us Lacrosse Memberships for participants! In this beginner level lacrosse clinic, participants will learn stick handling, shooting, defense, fast breaks, and face-offs taught by an experienced instructor. ◊Ragdoll Making Workshop - Part One◊ (Ages 8-12) in this class, participants will learn to create a 15-inch ragdoll using fabric and other items. They will also learn how to make clothing for the gifure using different child-safe tools and supplies. Hand and/or machine skills are necessary for this class.
