MANIMAL PROJECT

We intend to make people conscious of their responsibility to take care of our surroundings. The Earth

Earth should be at the center of decisions or, at least, a consideration in the decision-making process.

Observing how other living organisms use natural resources to build their habitat, we focused on three Brazilian birds. They all use different material and technic to build their nests. They inspired us to design our own living spaces. They were designed with two different parts, In the center they were built with organic materials as birds built their nests. In contrast, passing through the outermost part, the material became urban wastes, but constructed with the same techniques observed from the bird. We’ve chosen to work with the common, daily wastes produced by Men, paper, wood and plastic. At the center of each structure their is a original birds’ nests, no longer in use found in Brazil.

Our motivation with this project is more than presenting solutions, is to highlight a different way of living by showing that the world was created with a community of different species and we can keep it this way by asking ourselves: what do we want to leave as our legacy for future societies?
