PUBLIC NOTICES

Saturday, December 5th 2015 Lincoln v. Greendale Not a lot to report. Another low scoring game, with each innings being completed well under the limit of 45 overs. Hot weather, but then N.W. breeze cooled things down. Outfield slow, but didn’t look it. Greendale 74 L.. Bragan 18 B. Chapman 17 Lincoln 75/1, and so won by nine wickets. By the way - Greendale now wear colour (pyjamas). What is wrong with white? What is next - purple bat? Weedons v. Sth. Malvern Ditto. Sth. Malvern are a better team than this result indicates. Their own pitch is artificial, and playing on grass is always a challenge to adjust to the pace of the

wicket. Sth. Malvern scored 106, of which 29 were extras. Weedons 107/0, and so they won by ten wickets. Footnote: Trevor Wall, Malvern secretary, produced figures once with a cricket ball, instead of his pen. In a Sheffield v. Darfield game (1983/84), with his right arm off-spin, he took 9/36. The other wicket read - ct. T. Wall (mid-off), b. M. Frew.
