• “Margaret was a lovely lady. I enjoyed going into the Drapery shop. She was always the same and you were greeted with a smile. The world was a better place with Margaret in it.”

Glacial Clay Face Mask

They forced you to wear a mask for almost 2 years so why not try one that is locally made, that your skin will actually LOVE!

NZ Glacial Clay made from the most unique mineral called Nontronite, sourced from our very own beautiful Southern Alps.

• “We have wonderful memories of Margaret, especially in those early days. I spent many happy hours over a cup of tea and chats with Margaret. They were great days.”

• “Memories going back over sixty years, all of them of happy times.”

• “Margaret was so special to us. She had a wonderful sense of humour, and we thoroughly enjoyed our visits to the Drapery. We would always leave with arms full of items we’d bought that we didn’t know we needed! We will miss her dearly”.

The well-known wooden horse was a real draw card for many children. In 2020, Maurice gifted the horse to Darfield Property Brokers, and it is fitting that the horse now sits in pride of place in the window, for the local children to continue to enjoy, as it did fifty years ago.
