MR. FRANCIS J. RICCIARDONE,

SR. 1939 of Medford, MA, recently celebrated his 100th Birthday. Malden Catholic extends a special congratulations and warm wishes to Mr. Ricciardone on this momentous occasion. We thank Mr. Ricciardone for tremendous generosity and support over many years as a member of the Saint Francis Xavier Society and for establishing a family scholarship fund with his family in memory of his beloved wife Marguerite and in his honor. Congratulations to his six children, all of whom graduated from Malden Catholic and Girls Catholic: Ambassador Francis J. Ricciardone, Jr. 1969 and wife Dr. Marie (Dunn) GC 1969, Michael Ricciardone 1971 and his wife Elizabeth, James Ricciardone 1973 and his wife Lisa, Dr. Marguerite Ricciardone Stone GC 1974 and her husband David, Hon. David Ricciardone 1976 and his wife Beverly, and Theresa Ricciardone Thayer GC 1977 and her husband Peter.

JOHN PIPPY 1988 is the founder and president of PGS TEK LLC, a certified veteran, owned small business focused on full spectrum IT solutions through strategic partnerships with industry leaders. He currently holds the rank of Colonel in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard and serves as the Commander of the 55th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade, headquartered in Scranton, PA. John has served overseas on active duty in Syria, Iraq and Kuwait and has been awarded numerous medals recognizing his military service including the Combat Action Badge, the US Army Bronze Star for meritorious service, and the Defense Meritorious Service Medal with “C” device. John has a master’s degree in Strategic Studies from the U. S. Army War College, a Master of Arts in International Relations from Irish American University in Dublin, Ireland, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point, N.Y.

BRIAN MCCARTHY 1991 is working at Heilind Capital in product management in addition to operating a tour guide service in Boston. 10 years ago, Brian took over the franchise for City Running Tours of Boston. City Running Tours is a national tour guide service located in 10 major cities throughout the U.S. and offers visitors and residents the opportunity to tour the city while getting in their exercise. against teams from around the country, these legendary Lancers contribute greatly to the success of their team, the “GOAT SQUAD,” which is based out of Stoneham, MA.

JAX P. GALLO ESQ. 1991 is working for the Committee for Public Counsel Service with their Children & Families Law Unit (CAFL) and their Mental Health Litigation Division (MHLD), advocating for children in the Department of Children and Families and juvenile justice systems, and for indigent adults with mental health challenges who face involuntary commitment.

MATTHEW P. MCKENNA 1995 is the Senior Vice President at Tenax Strategies, Inc. and an Executive Director at the National Guard Association of Massachusetts. A graduate of the University of Connecticut with a degree in political science, Matthew is a 22-year member of the U.S. Army National Guard. He currently serves as a Chief Warrant Officer 3 and a Blackhawk helicopter instructor pilot. He also serves on the boards of Massachusetts Fallen Heroes and Alternative Treatment for Veterans, a nonprofit that advocates for cannabis therapy for vets. Matthew was recently selected as the Pilot to fly Medal of Honor winners as they visited various schools and places around the Commonwealth.

DAVID SPADA 1997 is starting a new position as Senior Manager, Instruments Sales Americas at Rapiscan Systems.

PHILLIP DREWS 1998 is working with XPO Logistics as a Senior Manager for Last Mile Operations.

FATHER RONNIE P. FLOYD 1999 was recently named Canonical Administrator of the most vibrant parish in Grand Rapids, Sacred Heart. Named to succeed the internationally known Fr. Robert Sirico, Sacred Heart parish is one of the quickest growing parishes in the nation with one of the fastest growing schools, Sacred Heart Academy, a classical K-12 school that has been rated in the top 10 on the CLT the last two years.

LT. STEPHEN J. HUNNEWELL USA 2002 serves as the Senior Director for Product Innovation at Two Six Technologies. Prior to Two Six Research, he held various leadership roles with Novetta, Inc. Steve’s public service roles include serving as a Strategic Advisor on NATO’s Counterinsurgency Advisory & Assistance Team (CAAT) in Afghanistan; DoD Liaison to the UK Foreign Commonwealth Office (FCO) & Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan for Afghan Reconciliation and Reintegration. Steve’s military service includes both conventional U.S. Army Infantry and Special Operations assignments. Steve’s public and private sector assignments have led to solving international challenges from Afghanistan’s restive Helmand and Kunar provinces to NATO headquarters in Brussels, Belgium to Ukraine to Southeast Asia. To assist his international engagement Steve is functional in German a while also being familiar with Pashto, Arabic, and Farsi. Steve joined the Army with a degree in Political Science through Providence College’s Army ROTC program and holds an MBA from the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Management at Babson College. He is also pursuing a Master of Arts in International Relations from the Fletcher School of Law Diplomacy at Tufts University.

CHRISTOPHER CIAMPA 2003 is working as an Engineer and Consultant in the biopharma industry. Christopher holds an M.B.A. in Management from Bentley University and an B.S. in General Biology from the University of New Hampshire. Christopher is married to his wife, Christina Ciampa, who owns a bookstore called All She Wrote Books in Somerville, MA.

CONRAD G. KOHLER-TIEDEMAN 2007 married his wife, Suriah, in May 2021.

MICHAEL A. DISALVATORE 2007 is a registered architect and is working at IA Interior Architects. Additionally, Michael recently founded his own photography business, M. DiSalvatore Photography, actively competes in Powerlifting competitions, and recently became a father.

RYAN O’DONNELL 2007 is working as Rigging Electric on Gary Dauberman’s new film adaptation of Stephen King’s Salem’s Lot, date set for 2022.

CRAIG HOOPER 2008 has accepted the position of Senior Vice President at MVision Private Equity Advisors in New York.

JARED TRINGALE 2008 celebrated 2 years at Acquia and was recently promoted to Senior Marketing Programs Manager.

LUKE SILVEIRA 2009 celebrated 3 years at The University of Vermont Medical Center.

MICHAEL LEBLANC 2009 celebrated 8 years at State Street, a leading global provider of financial services to institutional investors

ED FERRANTE 2010 has been admitted to the Massachusetts Bar Association (MBA) Leadership Academy.

CONOR MULCAHY 2011 graduated from the Isenberg School of Management at UMass Amherst with a Master’s in Business Administration and Management and, Finance. Connor is also a Company Commander of Headquarters & Headquarters Company, 151st Regional Support Group in the MA Army National Guard. LAWRENCE GUINEE 2011 was recently promoted to Chanel Sales Manager at HqO, headquartered in Boston.

DERRICK STONE 2013 was promoted to Senior Quality Performance Analyst with Pratt & Whitney.

ALEX MASSA 2015 was promoted to Senior Treasury Analyst at HarbourVest Partners.

MUPING SHI 2017 started a new position as Management Trainee at Nanjing Securities Co. Ltd. In Nanjing, Jiangsu, in China. Muping will be attending Johns Hopkins University for graduate school in the Fall 2022.

KELLEN FIELD 2017 is finishing his last semester at Amherst College and playing on the football team.

ZHENGHAO DAI 2018 is attending the University of Southern California for both his Bachelor and Master of Science degrees.

JOSE ORDONEZ 2020 is a sophomore at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut.

AARON BABU 2021 is attending Cornell University and is majoring in Computer Science.
