Introduction To 3D Design
HW 1: ECS Assignment Objective: Create a cube and a sphere using electronic waste.
Professor’s Feedback: The compositions were good. The sphere gives a great affect in lighting and is made using creative materials.
Personal Reflection: I enjoyed experimenting with this new and interesting material.
Grade:
02
Rectilinear Volumes
Classwork 1 Assignment Objective: Create 4 rectilinear compositions using 3 elements each.
Professor’s Feedback: The compositions had good axis. Neatness was good but could be better.
Personal Reflection: I enjoyed the assignment but found it difficult to create different compositions.
Grade:
HW 2: Bird BNB Assignment Objective: Create a functional bird house using rectilinear geometries.
Professor’s Feedback: The composition was 3 Dimensional and colorful and the execution was good.
Personal Reflection: Composing the bird house into an abstract shape made it interesting.
Grade:
03
Curvilinear Volumes
Classwork 2 Assignment Objective: Create 4 curvilinear compositions using 3 elements each.
Professor’s Feedback: Neatness was good. 2 models had a similar approach.
Personal Reflection: I enjoyed the assignment and found the different curvilinear elements interesting to composition.
Grade:
HW 3: Typography Assignment Objective: Create a letter or number using curvilinear geometries.
Professor’s Feedback: The composition was good and very colorful.
Personal Reflection: All the curvilinear shapes complemented each other well.
Grade:
04
Recti-Curvi Volumes
Classwork 3 Assignment Objective: Create 5 recti-curvi compositions using more than 3 elements each.
Professor’s Feedback: Neatness was good. The linear
Centralized
composition was creative. The grid composition elements had good sizes.
Personal Reflection: I found the element arrangement types very interesting and using them made the compositions interesting

HW 4: Geometricity Assignment Objective: Abstract a map into pure geometry and then turn it into a 3D composition using recti-curvi geometries
Professor’s Feedback: The composition was 3 Dimensional and colorful and the execution was very neat.
Personal Reflection: Using recti-curvi shapes in this assignment made it more interesting.
Grade:
05
Fragments
Classwork 4 Assignment Objective: Create 5 fragments compositions from a cube, cuboid, sphere, cylinder and cone.
Professor’s Feedback: The compositions were neat, and fragmentation was used creatively.
Personal Reflection: The approach of fragmentation made the compositions more interesting.
Grade:
HW 5: Filler Assignment Objective: Apply filler to an object
Professor’s Feedback: The filler affect was good, but it was better in the bottle than the cube. The choice of the rubrics cube was creative.
Personal Reflection: The compositions were neat and creative.
Grade:
06
Planar Construction
Classwork 5 Assignment Objective: Abstract 4 words using planar compositions.
Professor’s Feedback: The compositions were neat and most of the words were abstracted well.
Personal Reflection: I found that the paper material results in more interesting and more creative compositions.
Grade:
HW 6: Biomorphic Assignment Objective: Create a Biomorphic abstraction using claque paper.
Professor’s Feedback: The composition was very nice and neat and looked good from all angles.
Personal Reflection: I enjoyed creating the spirals and using them as a composing unit.
Grade:
07
Lines In Space
Classwork 6 Assignment Objective: Create 20 wire compositions abstracted from music soundtracks.
Professor’s Feedback: The compositions were good.
Personal Reflection: I found abstracting music into compositions interesting.
Grade:
08
Midterm
Midterm Assignment Objective: Create a Biomorphic abstraction using claque paper.
Professor’s Feedback: The keywords were abstracted well,
Float
and the execution was neat.
Personal Reflection: I found abstracting the words difficult but successful.
