My name is Cannon Turner and this is my first year showing in the junior livestock program. My steer’s name is Cash. He is a hereford steer born at Orr Farms in Puryear, TN. Cash is a good natured steer although he can be a little stubborn at times. He likes his baths but does not like when you mess with his head. This livestock project has taught me hard work and responsibility. Since this is my first year I still have a lot to learn but my goal this year is to show off my hard work and have good showmanship.
My name is Brodie Warbritton, and this is my steer Banjo. He is a charolais breed from a In god we trust. He is weighing in at around 1200 lbs right now and we still have 2 weeks to go. I have been showing in the fair for 5 years now with this being my 3rd steer I have shown. I’m looking forward to seeing you all out at the Henry County fair this year.
Hi there!
My daughter, Genesis Story is showing livestock in this years Henry County Fair. She is 12 years old and starting the 6th grade. This is her first year showing, and she is showing two BFX sheep. Her father, Isaiah Story, showed livestock at the Henry County Fair his whole childhood and now she is following in his footsteps. We are locals of Henry County and are part of Story Farms (Greg Story is her grandfather) in Puryear.
Hi, my name is Jordan Cooper this is my 2nd year showing Market Hogs. I have two hogs this year named Hazel and Lavender. They are both Hampshire Yorkshire cross gilts. They love to run around to see the chickens, and their favorite treat is watermelon. This year has taught me a lot more about how to manage and run the feed program. I have also focused more on learning how to groom and properly train my hogs.
Jack is a senior at HCHS. This is his 8th year showing a steer at the Henry Co Fair.
Snoop is a March 2024 Maine/Anjou cross steer out of Good As It Gets. Jack purchased him in July of ‘24 from Laurel Hill Cattle Co. Thank you!!
Jozlyn Zeiler 12 years old, 1st year exhibitor showing goats. Participated in the Eiffel Tower Goat and Lamb show in July. She enjoys the bonding, training, and learning of her project.
My name is Millie Lovett. I am a first year exhibitor. I have two Boer goats for my projects this year. Their names are Cookie and Prince Charming. I have worked all summer preparing for this big day and I couldn’t be more excited.

Steer: Perry is a Chi steer weighing over 1300lbs
He has taught me a lot about perseverance this past year, he came with quite the different and stubborn attitude. I have shown him at several different shows from the MTSU B&B Preview Show, West TN Klassic, UTM AGR Show, Eiffel Tower Classic and West TN 4-H Regional Show. He has been fun to show and has placed well in all his classes and made it
Into the grand drive a few times. I want to invite each and everyone to the Henry County Fair on Thursday August 14 to enjoy all of the livestock shows. The sale will begin at 7pm after the senior salutes and the presentation of flags. Hope to see y’all there!
My name is Maebry Croasmun and I am a 5th grader at Lakewood.
This is my first year showing in the junior livestock show, although I’ve shown in the pre 4-H show for 3 years. This year I have two lambs and their names are Elphaba and Dr. Dillamond. Their names are from the movie Wicked. Elphaba is a Ewe Southdown cross and Dr. Dillamond is a Southdown Wether. They love to get head rubs, scratches, and they like to eat your clothes. I chose the Southdowns because they are known to have a good temperament to work with and also known for their tender meat.
This year Dr. Dillamond got to 116lb too early but at the same time Elphaba wasn’t gaining enough because she was only at 84lb. I learned how to make adjustments with their feed to help one slow down the weight gain and help the other increase the weight.
My goal for this year’s lambs are for them to reach their ideal health and weight for their breed by fair!
this year for the 3rd year in a row.
