PEABODY POLICE LOG MONDAY, AUGUST 6 The “ooh and oh-oh” effect Police assisted the fire department, which raced to a brush fire that was caused by fireworks. According to the report, an officer spoke to a King Street resident and advised not to set off any more fireworks.

TUESDAY, AUGUST 7 Oh boy A concerned father contacted police regarding a video his son sent to a female on social media – who is now attempting to extort money from the lad. The officer documented the incident.

FRIDAY, AUGUST 10 Last one to turn out the lights … Police received a call reporting a break-in at DownRiver Ice Cream shop on Andover Street: Cash and two iPads were taken during the overnight hours. According to the report, there wasn’t any forced entry due to an unlocked door being discovered.

ARRESTS/SUMMONS MONDAY, AUGUST 6 Rodolfo Antonio Martinez, 40, of 20 Keys Dr., Peabody, was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. Sara Elizabeth Fader, 40, of 12 Barrett Rd., Peabody, will be summonsed to court for assault & battery on a family/household member.

TUESDAY, AUGUST 7 Christina A. Garcia, 31, of 216 Lowell St., Peabody, was charged with possession of a Class A drug and with trespassing. Joshua M. Abrams, 30, of 21 Valley Rd., Stoneham, was charged with possession of a Class A drug and with trespassing.

WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 8 Jennifer Delia Lawton, 32, of Lexington, Mass., was charged with an arrest warrant. Gloria Richards, 26, of 3 Northend Ave., Salem, will be summonsed to court for assault & battery on a family/household member.

THURSDAY, AUGUST 9 Guillermo R. Jiminian, 37, of 89 Endicott St., Peabody, was charged with a courtesy booking for other jurisdiction. Christine T. Zak, 34, of 18 Cashman Rd., Peabody, was charged with two arrest warrants. Brad D. Hamilton, 39, of 21 Odell Ave., Beverly, was charged with breaking & entering into a building in the daytime for felony, and with trespassing.

FRIDAY, AUGUST 10 Ricardo DeSouza, 26, of 15 Wheeler St., Peabody, will be summonsed to court for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and for failure to stop/yield. Alcinesio Silva, 47, of 6 Stevens St., Peabody, will be summonsed to court for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and for failure to stop/yield. Manuel A. Mendez, 37, of 7 Garden Rd., Peabody, will be summonsed to court for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and for failure to stop/yield. Robert S. Litalien, 50, of Ipswich, Mass., was charged with operating under the influence of liquor, with leaving the scene of property damage and with negligent operation of a motor vehicle.
